Here’s how Nevin dropped 24kg, fit into the suit he wore to his sister’s wedding, and got his energy and confidence back without giving up the foods he loves or living in the gym.

You see, Nevin always struggled with his weight creeping up year after year...

He’d tried the latest fad diets, random punishing gym sessions, and cutting carbs out completely.
Which, to be honest, just led to him feeling frustrated, defeated, and self-conscious every time he caught his reflection.

Everyone treats muscle like it’s just for the gym.

It’s not. It’s the most protective tissue you have.

More muscle = lower risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cognitive decline, osteoporosis, and falls as you age.

It even runs your blood sugar up to 80% of the glucose from your meals gets stored in muscle. It’s basically your body’s metabolic safety net.

So building muscle isn’t about looking a certain way (even though that’s the by-product). It’s about staying functional, sharp, and independent for as long as possible.

Muscle isn’t optional for longevity. It’s the foundation.

Commonly, I would get people saying things like,

"I'm eating really healthily, but I'm still not losing weight,"

whereas it's important to note the poison is in the dosage. It's the hidden calories that you don't foresee.

These simple swaps mean you can still lose body fat without feeling deprived.

I didn’t have enough room in my carousel for my full list, so here they are below:

1. Your response to challenges defines you more than the challenge itself.

2. You are adaptable. You don’t need the day to go perfectly to make it a good one.

3. When you look outside you’ll always find something to blame. When you look inside there’s always something to improve. Average looks out. The elites look in

4. Having a child will elevate your career and not hinder it

5. Work hard. Enjoy the process. Be kind.

6. If you fish in small ponds… you’ll get small fish.

7. Be willing to let go of the last action and pour yourself into the next action

8. The man who loves walking will walk further than the man who loves the destination

9. To be successful at anything, the truth is you don’t have to be special. You just have to be what most people aren’t: consistent, determined, and willing to work for it.

10. The way to help someone is not to critique what makes them smaller, but to encourage what makes them larger.

11. You can lose yourself one small compromise at a time.

12. You can transform yourself one small win at a time.

13. Be humble. There will always be someone richer, sexier, stronger + more knowledgeable than you

Wins for the Week

Three different people. Three different starting points. One thing in common they stopped guessing and committed to a plan that actually fits their life.

One client just got their 12 week DEXA back: body fat down 2.4%, fat mass down over 4lbs, lean muscle protected. This is what happens when training and nutrition are built around you, not borrowed off the internet.

Another is over a year in and told me the gym is now non-negotiable they’ve fallen in love with lifting. That mindset shift is the real win. The body change is just a by-product.

This is what I love most about coaching. Not the before-and-afters (though II’ll take them)

It’s watching someone go from unsure and overwhelmed to strong, consistent, and proud of what their body can do.
