80% percent of your results come from 20% of your efforts. It’s a cliché, and it’s been said a thousand times, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

The real skill is in finding out what the effective 20% of your efforts is. In sport training, it’s pretty much squatting, hinging, jumping, pushing and sprinting. Make your heavy stuff heavy, and your fast stuff fast. Make sure, regardless of your goals, that your program includes these. The rest is all cake after that.

Being good at the gym doesn’t make you an athlete. Playing and doing sport does.

From our youngest at 10 years old to those in their 50s, it’s been a privilege to support so much talent and growth. 💪

Sprinting is the best exercise for your hamstrings. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Max-speed sprinting puts 8–10x your bodyweight force through the hamstrings. More than any gym lift, including RDLs, deadlifts, or hip thrusts.

Most people avoid sprinting because they’re afraid of getting hurt. But if sprinting loads the hamstrings better than anything else… wouldn’t building that strength reduce your injury risk in your sport or job? (Yes.)

Add a few short, max-effort 10–30m sprints into your weekly plan to build capacity, force-production, and the ability to handle lengthening under speed.

Getting faster and sucking less is a nice added bonus too.
