Pilates is a movement system created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. While “Contrology” is having a moment on social media in the present day, the Pilates method has been around for the last century. Pilates exercises encourage a mind-body connection, improve the awareness of breath, enhance spinal articulation and strengthen the deep core stabilizers.

Mr. Pilates developed a series of 34 exercises performed on the mat. As a prolific inventor he designed a rich selection of apparatus (the Reformer, the Cadillac and the Chair among others) which supported his vision of a strong and supple body.

This fall join Kirsty in honouring the legacy of Mr.Pilates work. We will explore his 34 Mat exercises, as well as the modifications and variations of each exercise. Deepen your understanding of the Pilates method with and pursue your goals of teaching this profound movement method!

Our May and June Schedule is here! We have some instructor changes this spring…
🩵 Mary Ann will be taking over the Tuesday daytime Reformer classes
🩵 Kirsty will be teaching “Barre Inspired” workouts on Monday / Wednesdays 8:45 - 9:45 am as Ashley and Anne reduce some teaching hours
🩵 Ashley will be teaching Tuesday/ Thursday 5:30 - 6:30 pm Barre to accommodate clients that need a bit more time to get to class after work
