The Moore Skating Club was shocked and heartbroken to hear of the tragedy that occurred at Lambton College early this morning. A loss like this affects the entire community. We offer our sincere condolences to the Nesbit family and our thoughts and support are offered to all of those affected by this heinous act. Hug your loved ones extra long tonight.

This weekend, while preparing for and during ice show, there was a need to contact emergency services. The Moore Skating Club has been made aware that if you need to contact 911 from the arena, YOU MUST USE THE PAY PHONE OR THE LIFEGUARD PHONE!! These are the ONLY phones in the arena that will connect you to local emergency services. (There is no charge to use the pay phone to call 911.)

The skating club was not aware of this, and precious minutes were wasted during an emergency, because calling 911 from a cell phone at the rink will connect you with emergency services in Michigan.

We are working with the Township to ensure that this information is posted at the arena so that everyone is aware, including visitors.

Please share with others, this is extremely important information that everyone who enters the arena should be aware of.
