🚨 OBA SENIOR B PROVINCIALS UPDATE 🚨
Mother Nature may have washed out Championship Sunday here in Corunna, but the tournament goes on! Thanks to the cooperation of the remaining four teams, the semi-finals have been relocated and rescheduled for this week.

Here is the upcoming schedule:

⚾ SEMI-FINAL 1
Port Dover Clippers vs. Mitchell Astros
📅 September 2nd @ 7:30 PM
📍 Sam Lamb Baseball Field, Tillsonburg

⚾ SEMI-FINAL 2
Windsor Brewers vs. Mitchell Brewers
📅 September 5th @ 2:00 PM
📍 Byron Optimist Sports Complex, London

Dates, times, and locations for the Championship round will be announced as soon as the dust settles on these semi-finals.

Good luck to the Clippers, Astros, and both Brewers squads as they battle it out for the Senior B crown! ⚾🏆

🏆 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! 🏆

​The Corunna Sr Giants won the League Playoff Tournament! 🥇⚾️ After dropping the opener, the boys battled all the way back to take the crown. Here is how the championship weekend played out:

​⚾️ Game 1: Tough Loss vs. Wyoming (4-3)

A tight battle to open the tournament. Kristofer Lotz pitched 5 strong innings and racked up 8 Ks, while Jason Lajeunesse Jr was strong in relief with 3 Ks over 2 innings. Steele Harris led the offense with 2 hits and an RBI.

​⚾️ Game 2: Bounce Back vs. Petrolia (W 9-1)

The Giants found their groove! Masen Flett commanded the mound for 6 innings to earn the win. Nolan Nicholson was the MVP at the dish, racking up 2 runs, 2 hits, and 4 RBIs—including a massive 2-run bomb in the bottom of the 3rd! 💣

​⚾️ Semi-Finals: Rematch vs. Wyoming (W 9-7)

Revenge time! The Giants jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the 1st and tacked on 5 more in the 5th. Wyoming fought hard to come back, but our arms shut the door. Craig Steadman took the win (5 IP), Mike Tyndall handled the 6th, and Greg Kemble nailed down the save in the 7th! 🔒 Masen Flett paced the offense with 3 hits, 2 runs, and an RBI.

​⚾️ Finals: Championship vs. Port Lambton (Mercy Rule Win!)

The bats stayed scorching hot for the finals! We put up 2 runs in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, 4 in the 3rd, and walked it off with 4 more in the bottom of the 5th for the mercy win! 🔥 Randy Thingstad was a machine, throwing a complete game to earn the championship W. Nolan Caudle led the charge at the plate with 3 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs!

​Huge congratulations to the entire squad for grinding it out. Way to bring it home, Giants! 💪🏆🍻

The boys battled it out in a tight 3-2 victory to close out the regular season on a high note.

​On the Mound:

​Kristofer Lotz set the tone early with a gem, tossing 5 innings of 1-hit ball and fanning 5 batters (only blemish a solo shot).

​Charlie Brander came in clutch with 1.2 strong innings of relief to lock down the win!

​Greg Kemble slammed the door shut, getting the final out via strikeout to secure the save! 🔒

​At the Plate:

​Nolan Nicholson sparkplugged the offense, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored!
