Any Rider. Any Bike. Any Experience. Inspired by the Fernie Gravel Grind’s motto ‘Anything Goes With Gravel’, the Anything Goes Event Series (AGES) offers a new age of cycling events across Western Canada, created for any and all cyclists. Beyond a cycling event series, AGES was established in 2022 as a platform to expand ideas and passions for the cycling community. The Spirit of Gravel is that Anything Goes; the Spirit of Gravel is Inclusivity.

We may have accidentally started a new series called featuring AGES founder providing gear breakdowns immediately after getting off the bike and slightly more cracked than usual.

Today we’re talking tire choice for the 🛞

We’re big fans of the G-One Pro lineup, but for the FGG, the clear winner is the G-One RX 🏆

With burly climbs, rough roads, and steep descents, you’ll want all the grip you can get, and the RX will do just that 🙏

Our other recommendation? Run the widest tire your bike will fit and make sure your sealant is topped up 🥤

Welcome to racing in the Rockies, big day on tap this July 4th, we’ll see you there 🏔️

Meet the 35km Short Haul.

Perfect for gravel-curious beginners, Juniors or intermediate riders looking for more of a mellow ride than the Medium Haul.

The Short Haul packs plenty of Fernie Gravel Grind flavour into a more approachable distance. Expect beautiful backroads, loose and bumpy descents, and enough climbing to make that finish line beer in Station Square taste extra good.

Riders should be comfortable spending 1.5–3 hours on the bike and climbing roughly 500m elevation gain. You’ll have one on-course Stoke Station halfway to refuel on electrolytes, snacks and high fives 🖐️

Locally Roasted & Community Focused ☕️

has become a staple of the weekend over the years. It only seems right to have them back as a Gold Sponsor for 2026.

You can expect to see Rooftop coffee in your race & volunteer package, onsite for pre-race coffee, a discount in the digital race guide, and of course, just down the street, which coincidentally is the perfect starting point for your Sunday shakeout ride with the pals.
