Say hello to coach & guide Creag Muir. Raised in the Scottish Highlands, with the Cairngorms as his backyard, Creag’s been on bikes in the mountains his whole life; riding, racing, and chasing good trails.

--> book with Creag today: https://ridetheory.ca/fernie/private-coaching/

Whether it’s big backcountry days, steep technical enduro, dirt jumps, or between the tapes on downhill tracks, he’s at home on all of it.

His 14 years of racing so far span the UK and Europe, including IXS Downhill Cup, Crankworx DH, Enduro world series, British National DH Series, and representing Great Britain at the UCI Downhill World Cup in Fort William in Juniors (2024).

For the past two years before joining Ridetheory Creag has been coaching and keeping things running smoothly at his family’s Bike Park in Scotland. Performance Mountain Sports. He works with riders of all levels, bringing a calm, confidence inspiring approach while helping people push their riding and have a proper good time doing it.

Creag holds top-level British Cycling MTB Leader and Gravity Coach qualifications, along with MIAS Level 2, and was the youngest in the UK to achieve them at just 19 yrs old.

Big on progression and good vibes, Creag brings a balance of youthful energy, and broad technical and tactical knowledge to every session; whatever the terrain, whatever the goal.

Singletrack 🤝 Songbirds

Read our new blog: Bikes and Birds. Your guide to biking and birding in the East Kootenays. https://ridetheory.ca/stories/

When you’re riding in the East Kootenays, your next ride will likely come with a side of osprey sightings, woodpecker drumming, and if you’re lucky, maybe even a sandpiper along the shores.

The East Kootenays are packed with places where biking and birding go hand in hand. Find yourself chasing berms and birds from Fernie to Cranbrook, Kimberley, and Invermere. This guide will help you slow down, look up, and maybe finally figure out what’s making all that noise in the trees on your next bike ride.

Hey All—

What’s new in Cranbrook and Kimberley?

This year we are stoked to introduce our BYOP – Bring Your Own Parent Programs. These weekend and week night programs are designed for you to learn how we teach. Think of them as a really miniature coaching course. Think of them as a space for you to learn and grow alongside your kiddos. Think of them as a space to access support for your own riding, in real time, alongside your young rippers. You’ll be able to ask our coaches for support in your own riding, and how to best support your kid’s riding growth at home during these formative years.

If you’ve been wanting to learn how to jump a bit higher, traverse tech smoother, corner a bit faster, and ride flow trails confidently alongside your growing riders, we invite you to come join us in Cranbrook and Kimberley for BYOP.

See below for times and age groups in both communities. Please reach out with any questions to [email protected]

See you there!

4 week Bring Your Own Parents. Ages 4-6 Learn to Pedal. May 6 – 27. Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

4 week Bring Your Own Parents Ages 8-13 Trail Jumps. June 3 – 24. Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
