We played for Abi Moore today ❤️ Petra Eikelenboom and I believe that Abi would have loved the cardio tennis class. We miss her at the courts, like she is missed all over this town and well beyond. We ate twizzlers, we didn’t let the rain stop our fun and we will never forget you Abi, your legacy is so strong 🏃‍♀️ 🎾 🐕 ❤️ Michael Moore we have a spot for you on court whenever you can join us

Doubles Round Robin showed great skill level (…and after this summer of tennis their 2027 entries might have to be upgraded to the competitive division!)

Our gracious winners Max and Jocelyn opted for the 2nd place prizing from Funky Goat Pizza 🍕 after double trouble suffered an injury in the final and had to forfeit the game. It meant that Kat Kennedy and Alex walked away 1st place prizing of The Chopstick Truck gift vouchers!

Hello Tennis Community,

Registration is now OPEN for our annual Arthur Sombrowski Doubles Tournament!

This is always one of the most enjoyable weekends of the summer tennis season, bringing players together for great competition, lots of laughs, and an opportunity to honour Arthur’s love of tennis while raising awareness for organ donation in Canada.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or simply looking for a fun weekend on court, we would love to have you join us.

🎾 Tournament Dates: July 3-5

🎾 Events:
• Doubles (all genders)
• Generations Doubles

For the Generations Doubles event, partners must have a minimum age difference of 15 years.

Please register early! Entry numbers are limited and we expect draws to fill quickly.

The tournament format will be determined once entries are received. Depending on registration numbers and player levels, events may be run as:
• Round Robin
• Knockout Draws
• Level-Based Divisions
• Or a combination of formats designed to maximize competitive and enjoyable matches for everyone. Everyone is guaranteed a minimum of two matches.

More than anything, this weekend is about community, getting together with old friends, making new ones, playing great tennis, and celebrating the spirit that Arthur brought to our tennis community.

We hope you’ll join us for another fantastic weekend of tennis in Fernie.
