I had the pleasure of giving a lesson to a customer who is getting ready for her first tournament next weekend! We had some really good discussions regarding the mental approach for disc golf in general but more importantly, heading into a tournament. She had a lot of amazing questions about form, rules, etc. I truly felt like our lesson set her off on a really good path to improve her game while having a ton of fun!

Now that the warmer weather is finally setting in, I am excited to announce I will continue offering one on one disc golf lessons during the 2023 season! Additionally, I will continue donating 100% of the profits to local tournaments, leagues, and course improvement projects!

Elk Valley Disc Golf Coaching was a proud silver sponsor of the Kootenay Up and Down tournament in Cranbrook this past weekend. We were able to raise and donate $240 though our lessons and events this year.

I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who participated in our lessons and events this past summer! We are looking forward in continuing growing the sport this fall and in 2023! All our proceeds will continue to be donated to local clubs and leagues 😁

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the tournament committee! Our TD, Serge Gosselin, once again exceeded expectations and ran yet another flawless event with an exceptional players pack. Your commitment to this sport does not go unnoticed my friend, so cheers to you 🍻

Our beginner lessons for kids includes a lightweight beginner friendly disc! Our current batch even glows in the dark! 😁

Disc selection is one of the most important thing as a beginner. Discs are designed for specific flight characteristics and, without research or knowledge, beginners can end up buying discs they won’t be able to throw until intermediate/advanced levels. This often results in a beginner player “giving up”.

Our beginners lessons always start with an overview of flight numbers and recommendations to get started. We always bring a selection of beginner friendly discs for you to try as well!
