We’re super excited to welcome Jonny as our new Store Manager at Strides Canmore!

Jonny is no stranger to Strides. After previously working as Assistant Manager at our Strides Fish Creek location, he already knows the Strides team, our products, and what it takes to create a great experience for our customers. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role in Canmore, and we’re stoked to have him on board!

Originally from Scotland, Jonny now calls the Canadian Rockies home. He’s a passionate trail and ultra runner with years of racing experience, from trail marathons to 100-mile ultras and 24-hour races. 🏃‍♂️⛰️

For Jonny, running is about much more than times and podiums. It’s about community, adventure, and getting people excited to explore — something we know he’ll bring to Strides every day.

Running 101 | 8-Week Fall Run Clinic

Calling all those who want to learn how to run! This beginner-friendly program is designed to gently introduce you to running through a progressive run/walk program that builds your endurance and confidence over 8 weeks. By the end, you’ll be ready to run your first 5K Fun Run! 🎉

You’ll get 3 training days per week: one coached group session on Wednesdays, plus two guided workouts to complete on your own.

Meet your coach, Kelly Skeavington 👋 A former teacher and fitness professional since 2010, Kelly joined the Strides community in 2020 and has completed races from 5K to half marathon. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she loves hiking, trail running, cycling, bikepacking, and XC skiing — and most of all, helping others build confidence and discover the joy of running!

The cost of the clinic and program is $100 and includes a free Strides Run Club running hat.
