SEMI-FINAL FIXTURES FOR 6 JUNE 2026

All games will be played at the Craigie Leisure Centre 751 Whitfords Avenue Craigie. This is 200 m west of the Whitfords Train Station and the Mitchell Freeway.

TEAM THAT HAS NO GAME: Not the Eddies. (mixed). This team has already qualified to play in the Mixed A Grand Final on 13 June 2026.

FORFEITS: Teams that forfeit this coming Saturday will be eliminated from the finals series and have no further games this season.

PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

To ensure each game is conducted in a positive manner, you as a Basketball Innovations player should:

 Be supportive of the aims and ethos of the Basketball Innovations Competition.

 Play fairly and safely by the rules. Encourage others to do likewise.

 Never argue with an umpire concerning decisions made in the game as umpire decisions are final. Umpires can occasionally make mistakes. However, play the game with the attitude that umpire are always right.

 There be concerns, the team captain, coach or manager may approach the umpire in a polite and respectful manner during a break such as a time-out. Remember umpire time is limited and so such discussions must be brief.

 Control your temper. Abuse of other people in the competition is not acceptable..

 Treat all players, as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully, sledge, provoke, deliberately distract or take unfair advantage of another player.

 Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, culture,or religion.

 Give your best effort for your team. The team's performance will benefit as well as yourself.

 Be a good sportsperson. Applaud all great plays whether being your opponents or your own team.

 Cooperate at all times with your coach, captain, team-mates, opponents and officials.

 View in proper perspective any isolated incidents of unsporting behaviour rather than make such incidents the highlight of the event.

 Avoid engaging in practices that affect sporting performance (e.g. illicit drug use, drunkenness).

 Put all issues and complaints in writing to the competition management.

 Be ready to play at least 5 minutes before your game is to commence.

 Wear the appropriate team uniform for the game.

 Attend training regularly if you are a member of a designated training team.

 Contribute to your team’s game fee payments.

 Notify your coach/team manager WELL IN ADVANCE if you are unable to participate or be late for a game. This gives your team time to make arrangements to cover for your absence. Heavy penalties apply for late or un-notified forfeits. Each team member will be held responsible to cover the cost of late notice forfeit penalties.

SPECTATORS CODE OF CONDUCT

Spectators are guests of the competition. Their role is to support and encourage from the sideline during games.

To ensure each game is conducted in a positive manner, you as a spectator should:

 Be supportive of the aims and ethos of the Basketball Innovations Competition.

 Cooperate all times with Basketball Innovations officials, umpires and coaches.

 Remember players are involved in the game for their enjoyment not yours.

 Encourage people to always play according to the rules.

 Be a model of good sporting behaviour for children, youth and adults to copy.

 Be courteous in your communication with officials, umpires, teams, coaches, players and other spectators.

 Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical violence from the game.

 Never ridicule or abuse officials, umpires, teams, coaches or players.

 Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, culture, race or religion.

 Support all efforts to ensure that games run on time.

 Put all issues and complaints into writing to the competition management.

 Recognize the value and importance of volunteer coaches and scorers. They give of their time and resources and deserve your support.

FINALS INFORMATION - SCORING

Teams are responsible for scoring games.

Scoresheets, not the electronic scoreboard show the official game score.

Game scorers are to sit at the score bench and be actively involved in the scoring process.

Should an issue arise with the scoring, it is the game scorers sitting at the score bench who are to attempt to resolve the issue. Should this not be possible then the umpires are to be involved along with the scorers to achieve a resolution. Any decision made by the umpires in this situation is final.

Players, coaches, team managers and spectators are not to be involved in resolving a scoring dispute unless asked to do so by the umpires.

FINALS ELIGIBILITY - PLAYERS

Only players who are registered as indicated by having their name printed on the scoresheet are permitted to play finals games.

Fill in players are not permitted.

Players are requested to bring some for of personal Photo ID with them to the game. This is to be shown to Basketball Innovations Staff should it be necessary to identify players. Players without proof of ID may be excluded from finals games.

FINALS INFORMATION - TEAM ELIGIBILITY

As we are a social competition all teams are eligible to contest the finals series provided they are fully financial as of 7 pm on Saturday 30 May 2026 and provided they have not been penalised more than 12 penalty points.

The semi-finals will be played on 6 June 2026
The grand finals will be played on 13 June 2026

The new season will start Saturday 18 July 2026

FIXTURES FOR 30 MAY 2026 - The last qualifying round

All games will be played at the Craigie Leisure centre 751 Whitfords Avenue Craigie which is 200 m west of the Whitfords Train Station and the Mitchell Freeway.

WITHDRAWN: Jelpacks (women), Wesley Snipers (men) Commitments (men), Breakers (men)

FORFEITS: Should a team need to forfeit they can do so without penalty provided we are notified by 11 am on 126May 2026. Forfeits after this time will be penalised. The later the notice the heavier the penalty. Teams that forfeit the last qualifying round may be excluded from the finals series.
