Country Champs Wrap Up

Congratulations to Annie and her 13&U team who came away with GOLD after defeating Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara (KNT) 32-20 in their grand final. Annie was a dominant member of her side playing in GA and GS over the weekend!

Unfortunately Ayla and her 15&U team went down in their grand final against Barossa and Light 23-31. Ayla was a force in her 15s side, dominating the centre court all weekend.

What an amazing weekend of netball! Great Southern dominated across all grades!

Country Champs Update 💚💛
As we head into our third day of competition, we would love to congratulate our VHNC girls achievements so far!

11s – Kenzie Scott & Chloe Barry
Finished their carnival 2nd after losing only one game!! 🥈

13s – Annie Kairl
Finishing top of their pool undefeated with one draw and one game to go before finals.

15s - Ayla White
Sitting third in their pool and heading into Div 1 finals today.

And lastly, a HUGE congratulations to our senior players Mikaela and Tayla who along with coach Kelly and TM Debbie took home the GOLD medal after going through the entire carnival undefeated. What an amazing achievement!

Good luck to our Victor Harbor girls as they prepare for this weekends Country Championships. The juniors in particular have been training for months, already playing in two carnivals in preparation for this massive event. It takes a great deal of commitment to be a part of the Rep program, and as a club we are so incredibly proud of our girls. It is an honour to represent our association and we know you will all do us proud.

If you are free this weekend, head down to SUNA to cheer on GSNA, and don’t forget your green and gold 💚💛

Congratulations to our very own Charlotte Hogan on being selected in the Adelaide Thunderbirds Talent Academy for 2026. Charlotte is an amazing defender from our Inter One team who was also selected in the GSNA 15&U development team this season. In addition to her playing commitments, Charlotte also gives back to the club as one of our 9&U coaches. We are so proud of you Charlotte and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Wohlers Wonder Woman of the Week: Round 7 – Charlotte Hogan

Charlotte has only just turned 15 years old and the VHNC are very proud of her achievements at such a young age.
Charlotte co-coaches our 9 & Unders and with Elsa they are doing a fantastic job with the little ones who are starting their netball journey.
Charlotte has been selected to play in the Inter 1s team this year and her defensive work is so good to watch.
Besides her commitments already she was chosen in the GSNA 15 & under Development Rep team and has recently been selected in the Adelaide Thunderbirds Talent Academy Program.
Well done Charlotte, we are excited to watch you progress through the grades, a future League Squad player in the making.
