A little reminder that not everything deserves the same amount of your time, energy or late-night Googling.😬

✅ Do now: the things that help prepare your body to train
📅 Schedule: time for the rehab you keep saying you'll “do later”
🤝 Delegate: let your physio help with the actual rehab plan
🗑️ Eliminate: asking ChatGPT to diagnose your knee at 11pm after one weird twinge 👀

Rehab doesn't need to take over your life.

Figure out what matters, make time for it, get help with the things you're unsure about, and maybe... just maybe... stop symptom searching before bed. IYKYK 😂

Which quadrant are you currently guilty of? 👀

Injury rehab can get complicated pretty quickly. 😅

Stretch this. Roll that. Rest. Get a massage. Try dry needling. Do these 10 exercises. Avoid that movement. Fix your technique. 🤯

And all of those options come with a cost.

Sometimes that's *time and effort*
Consistently completing your rehab, modifying your training or gradually rebuilding strength. 😮‍💨

Sometimes it's *money*
Booking a massage, dry needling or other treatment.
💸💸💸

So if you're going to invest your time, effort *or* money into your recovery, it's worth asking:

*What's actually going to have the biggest impact?*

That doesn't mean things like massage, dry needling, stretching, and foam rolling are useless. They can be really helpful for managing symptoms and helping you feel better. 🙏🏼

But feeling better temporarily and *building your body's capacity to handle the things you want to do again* aren't necessarily the same thing. ❌

For most people, the bigger wins come from getting the basics right:

✔️ Keep moving where you can
✔️ Manage aggravating activities and training load
✔️ Gradually rebuild strength and capacity
✔️ Progress back towards the activities that matter to you
✔️ Stay consistent long enough to let your body adapt

Some of those things require more time AND effort.

They're not always the quickest or easiest option...

But they're often the things that actually move your recovery forward. 💪

➡️➡️You don't need to do everything. You need to focus your resources on the things that move the needle.

Not sure where your time, effort or money is best spent? We can help you build a rehab plan that gets you back to what you love.🤓

Sometimes the biggest change in rehab isn't your exercises. 👀

It's the way you think about recovery. 💭

Small mindset shifts can change how you approach pain, setbacks, and progress, making it easier to stay consistent over the long term.

Recovery is rarely about finding the perfect exercise or the perfect treatment. More often, it's about gradually rebuilding strength, confidence, and tolerance over time. 👏🏽

Which one do you find hardest to believe? 👇🏿

💥 Physio Myth: "If I rest it, it'll heal."

It sounds logical... If something hurts, stop using it until the pain goes away. But for many injuries, too much rest can actually slow your recovery. 🫣

When muscles, tendons and joints aren't exposed to the right amount of movement, they can become weaker and less tolerant to everyday activities. Then, as soon as you return to normal activities, the pain often comes straight back.

That doesn't mean you should push through severe pain or ignore an injury‼️ It means recovery is usually about finding the right amount of movement, not avoiding it altogether.

The goal isn't just to get rid of pain... It's to rebuild the strength and confidence your body needs so the injury is less likely to return.

Every injury is different, but if you've been resting for weeks and you're still not seeing progress, it might be time for a different approach.

If you're not sure whether your injury needs rest, movement, or something in between, we're always happy to point you in the right direction. 👋

What if your scan isn't telling the whole story? 🤔

Many people are surprised to learn that findings like:
💥 Disc bulges
💥 Arthritis
💥 Ligament damage

are often seen in people who have *no pain at all*‼️

That's because pain is more complex than what shows up on a scan.

A scan can show changes in your tissues, but it can't tell us:
✔️ How strong you are
✔️ How well you're moving
✔️ What activities trigger your symptoms
✔️ How your body is adapting to load

This is why we don't treat scans. We treat people. 👏🏼

The next time someone tells you that your MRI means you'll never run, lift weights, garden, or play with your kids again...

Take a breath.

The full story is rarely found on a scan alone.

If you're confused by your scan results or unsure what they actually mean for you, we're always happy to help. 👋

Runner's knee is super common in active people, but it doesn't always mean you need to stop running!

In many cases, the problem isn't running itself. It's that the knee isn't currently tolerating the amount of load being placed on it. 😵

The good news? With the right rehab plan, most people can continue some level of activity while rebuilding strength, improving load tolerance, and returning to running with confidence. 👏🏼

If knee pain has been limiting your training, we'd love to help.

Dry needling is one of the most misunderstood treatments in physiotherapy.

Many people think the needles are what "fix" the problem.

But in reality, dry needling *can help* reduce pain, improve movement, and decrease muscle tension...

But long-term results usually come from addressing the underlying cause through rehabilitation and strength training. ✅

That's why we often use dry needling as one tool within a broader treatment plan (not as a standalone solution). 👏🏼

Have you ever tried dry needling before? Let us know below 👇

Pain settles down… then comes back again a few weeks later. 🫣

This "pain cycle" is one of the most common things we see with:
💥back pain
💥shoulder pain
💥knee pain
💥tendon injuries

Often, the pain improves temporarily… but the area never fully rebuilds the strength and tolerance needed to handle normal life, work, training, or sport again. 😫

That’s where people can end up stuck in the “pain cycle”:
➡️ pain flares up
➡️ rest
➡️ feels better
➡️ return to activity
🔄 pain comes back again

Good rehab shouldn’t just temporarily reduce pain...

It should help you:
✔️ rebuild strength
✔️ tolerate load again
✔️ move confidently
✔️ return to activity

Have you ever dealt with an injury that kept coming back? 👇
