Three of the Gold Coast Carts having a crack at Bangalow in the Open Homegrown heats, did well in this heat but there’s a lot of other fast carts from other heats that wound up edging us out in the finals

Bangalow was quite the impressive performance for us Gold Coasters over the weekend.

We managed to double our previous attendance numbers, with a total of 4 carts & 4 drivers entering races.

The B&S Bandit cart was well and truly put through its paces, with 3 different drivers entering the Mothers Challenge, Open Homegrown, Tag Team & Novelty races, the new brakes managing to stop it faster than ever until the bullbar bracket gave out in the second last race.

An impressive first outing for the Dale Truck inspired cart, certainly not the fastest but it looks good and goes straight. Same can be said for the blue cart which entered the Open racing also.

And of course the Sonic cart which managed to run from the junior races in the morning into the Homegrown & Professional categories and the Novelty race at the end of the day with a podium finish.

Now with Bangalow done and dusted it’s back to work, again fixing what we broke & looking for any chance to improve performance for our next races. I think we can definitely see about getting the B&S Bandit cart rolling much faster than it currently does now that it’s got a lot more stopping power.
