Whilst I haven’t had a chance to get out to any of the latest races, I was able to enter quite a few Billy Cart photos into our local Agricultural Show, receiving a couple of awards as a result.

It’s always great to capture photos at each of the events I go to, from the early raceday morning monotone shot of the road down Mt Pappinbarra where the Beechwood Billycart Classic is held, to photos both on and off track at Bangalow and Greenmount, it’s certainly a very photogenic hobby to take part in.

Heads up for anyone interested in having a crack at a brand new Billy Cart Derby!

Murphy's Creek Escape is hosting a Billy Cart Bash on August 22nd for the first time, bringing a new event to the Lockyer/Toowoomba Region which is aiming to raise funds for Wildlife Rescue, Rehab and Education.

The rules/specifications are similar to both the Gatton & Greenmount events, with plenty of categories to enter! (PDF available on their website)

They’re hoping to get enough online entries to be sure that the event can go ahead, so if you’ve got a cart that’s been sitting in the shed since the last race at Gatton, or you want a chance to race a cart that you’ve been building for Greenmount be sure to enter now so that this event can go ahead!

Out at Nerang Velodrome for the Cyclekart Club of Australia’s Show and Go event!

Was able to bring a couple carts of ours along to display, and with a lot of great looking Cyclekarts it should be a great day!

An absolutely amazing plaque done up by Peter to celebrate our Club’s first win at Bangalow in 2022!

An extraordinary amount of workmanship went into its design, making it the centrepiece of our growing collection of trophies!

Awesome to see schools still putting events like this on! Especially when’s it’s the longest running annual Billy Cart event in SEQ.
