HARRO IS BACK!

The youngest member of our premiership-winning First XI has recommitted for the 2026/27 season, with Harro Dent back on board.

A talented top-order batsman, Harro has enormous potential and is another player who puts in the work to continually improve his game. His dedication and willingness to learn have already seen him make significant strides, and there is still plenty of development ahead of him.

Last season was a huge one for Harro. Alongside playing First XI cricket, he captained our Under 16 side and earned league representative honours, highlighting his ability. After gaining valuable experience at senior level, he’ll be looking to take another step forward this season.

Like many young cricketers, Harro enjoys his footy as well, although an elbow injury has unfortunately sidelined him for a large portion of the football season. Thankfully, he is expected to be back up and running in time for the start of cricket pre-season and will no doubt be eager to get back into the nets.

We're excited to see what the future holds for Harro and can't wait to have him back around the club for another season.

The club is extremely excited to welcome Tahsin Sultani to the pond for the 2026/27 season.

A hard-hitting top-order batsman who loves to keep the scoreboard ticking over, along with being a sharp wicketkeeper, Tahsin is a genuine match-winner who can change the course of a game in a matter of moments..

Last season, Tahsin played MPCA Provincial cricket with Heatherhill, where he scored more than 300 runs. Prior to that, he spent four seasons competing in the highly regarded DDCA Turf 1 competition with Dandenong North. During the 2024/25 season, he captained the side and led from the front, compiling an impressive 369 runs.

With his strong playing record, leadership experience and competitive mindset, Tahsin will add significant depth and quality to our First XI playing group in 2026/27. His experience at a high level will be a valuable asset both on and off the field as we look to build on last season's success.

We warmly welcome Tahsin, and family to the Tyabb Cricket Club community and look forward to seeing them around the club throughout the season.

Robbo is back!!!!

Robbo is back on board, with the first of our four Under 18 First XI premiership players committing to the cause for 2026/27.

Last season was a huge one for Tom. After a massive pre-season, he represented Kingston Hawthorn at Premier and Under 18 level, Played a year of 1st XI at the pond and capped it off in the best possible way with a First XI premiership.

You could see his game improving as the season went on, and it all came together in the Semi-Final. His brilliant 51 was crucial in setting what proved to be an insurmountable total against Skye — an innings full of crisp stroke play, composure and mature shot selection that showed he has the ability to be a genuine game changer at this level.

One of the hardest workers at the club when it comes to improving his game, Robbo looks set for another big season and another major leap forward in 2026/27. We for one can't wait to see it!!

Sticka is back!!!!!

More great news, with Sticka confirming he is back for the 2026/27 season.

The explosive all-rounder really came into his own last season, becoming a key component of our successful year. Opening both the batting and bowling, Ryan established himself as one of the premier all-rounders in the Subbies competition, scoring 311 runs at 31.1 while also claiming 18 wickets at 21.17.

Add in his outstanding fielding efforts, particularly his ground fielding, and it’s easy to see why he has such an influential impact on games.

A proud Yabbie junior, Ryan is fully invested in the club after also joining the committee for the upcoming season. He is hungry for another big year and looking at ways to further improve his game whilst help driving for continued team success.

We for one can’t wait to see what he has in store for us in 2026/27.

A huge congratulations to Yabbie Junior Skye Stroker on her selection in the Victorian Girls Under 18 side for the 2026 Australian Indoor Championships, to be held at Casey Stadium from July 5th–11th.

It’s a fantastic achievement for Skye and follows on from her selection in the Victorian Under 16 side last season, a terrific reward for her hard work, development and dedication to the game.

Everyone at the club is incredibly proud to see a young Yabbie representing Victoria on the national stage.

Enjoy the tournament and go well, Skye!

The Coach is Back !!!!!!!

Great news for the club, with Jayden Regan re-appointed as coach for the 2026/27 season.

In his first season as coach, Jayden learnt plenty and played a significant role in guiding the club to a First XI premiership. His leadership, preparation and passion for the group were evident throughout the season and helped drive the standards that led to success.

As touched on during his Presentation Night speech, Jayden has a strong focus on the entire club and is determined to bring the whole playing group closer together — Senior Men, Senior Women and Juniors — while continuing to build an environment where everyone feels connected, valued and supported.

He is exploring different coaching structures and ideas to ensure all players are given the best opportunity to enjoy their cricket, develop their game and get the most out of themselves.

Already keen to get stuck into pre-season, Jayden has been hard at work behind the scenes organising training sessions, recruiting and preparing for what shapes as another exciting year for the club. He remains committed to continuing to drive the club forward both on and off the field.

Welcome back mate, great to have you leading the way again.

Our Committee 2026/27

Our AGM was held last night at the club, and we’re excited to have 12 committee members on board for the 2026/27 season — all committed to helping drive the club forward.

It’s a fantastic mix of experienced, returning and new faces, bringing plenty of enthusiasm, knowledge and fresh ideas into what shapes as another exciting season for the club.

Continuing from last season are President Greg Burch, Secretary James O’Keefe, Treasurer Ben Webster, along with Pat Mathieson, Charlie Fisher and Grant Rolston. A special thank you to Grant for his efforts in the Vice President role over recent seasons. While he is taking a step back from that position this year, we’re fortunate to still have him involved on the committee.

Returning to the committee after some time away are Bec Robinson, who steps into the Vice President role, as well as former President Jack Alford and Josh Hirst. It’s great to have them back, with all three having played integral roles around the club throughout their involvement over the years.

We also welcome first-time committee members Tracey Stroker, Ryan Regan and Grant Booth to the team, all of whom will be valuable contributors this season.

Finally, we would like to sincerely thank Bri Smith, who has stepped down this season, for her contribution and service to the committee over the past two seasons. Her work and commitment were greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

Over the coming weeks, there’ll be plenty of exciting announcements and updates around the club, so stay tuned — there’s plenty to look forward to ahead of the 2026/27 season.

AGM Reminder:

11th of May @ Tyabb Cricket Club

As we head into an important season, we’re looking to bolster our committee with some fresh faces. If you’re keen to get involved and help take the club forward, we’d love to have you on board.

If a committee role isn’t for you, we still encourage all our members to come down, hear our President’s report on the season that was, and get a understanding of the current position of the club.

In more exciting news for the club, we can announce that Fouldsy is back for another season.

Another one from our Junior program, His continual improvement has seen him become a lynchpin of our 1st XI over the past 2 seasons, owning the first-change role and consistently applying pressure back onto the opposition batting line-up.

With outstanding control and plenty of guile, he rarely bowls a bad ball and always finds a way to get it nipping around in all directions. More importantly, he has a knack for standing tall when the pressure is on — with his Grand Final figures of 3/11 from 11 overs the perfect example.

And let’s not forget, if a chance goes in the air, he’s every chance to pull off the odd blinder in the field as well.

It’s great to have you back Zac, in what should be an exciting 2026/27 season.
