Yet another great event, with a few new State Champions and a couple retaining their position (more on that later).

With roughly 10 weeks until the 2026/27 State Championship starts, now is the time to get involved by joining an affiliated club or having your club teach out to ANSA Victoria via Facebook.

Wednesday 11th March from 6:30pm is your chance to learn a few tricks about chasing Estuary Perch with Daniel of Ozfish who has offered his time to pass on his learnings from over a period of time exploring the Glenelg River system.
With a club event planned for the end of March, this could be some useful tips.

See ya there.

Hot weather greeted teams in the annual Western District Anglers Association team shield comp at Rocklands. The temperature got into the mid 30's with little to no breeze for most of the day.
Hamilton Team 2 took the honours in the Senior section, with Portland Team 3 finishing a credible second.
Portland Team 1 tied with Merino Team 1 for third place.

Our Junior team endured the hot conditions and were rewarded with the win in their section.

The president walked away with the raffle after buying the last ticket sold.

Well done to Hamilton Angling Club for hosting this years comp and for the variation in format.
