Sometimes the drinks we consume can add more sugar to our day than we realise.

Soft drinks and energy drinks can be high in added sugars, and when consumed regularly, those amounts can add up over time.

That doesn't mean you can never enjoy them, but it can be worth thinking about how often they're part of your routine.

One of the simplest changes you can make for your overall health is to drink more water throughout the day. Staying hydrated can help support energy levels, concentration, exercise performance and overall wellbeing.

If plain water isn't your favourite, try adding lemon, lime, or choosing sparkling water for a little variety.

Small changes can make a big difference over time.

100 Visits!

This month, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone with not one, not two, but FOUR members reaching their 100th visit at BFF Studios!

A huge congratulations to Vicki Phillips, Christine Sawyer, Jan Lovell and Michelle Boreham on this amazing achievement.

Congratulations on 100 visits!

Reaching 100 visits represents so much more than simply attending classes. It reflects consistency, commitment, personal growth, and the decision to continue showing up for yourself over time. Across 100 visits there are busy days, tired days, strong days, challenging days, and so many moments where choosing movement became part of your routine.

Every member’s journey is unique, which is why milestones like these are always worth celebrating. Whether someone is working towards improving strength, mobility, confidence, fitness, or simply making time for themselves each week, every visit contributes to something meaningful over time.

We feel incredibly lucky to have such a supportive and welcoming community within the studio, and we love being able to celebrate these achievements alongside our members.

We are so proud of you all and look forward to celebrating many more milestones with you in the future.

Looking for a gentle way to stay active, build strength and keep moving with confidence?

Our Prime Time sessions are designed for older adults and those looking for a lower impact approach to exercise.

These classes focus on improving strength, balance, mobility, coordination and everyday movement in a supportive and welcoming environment. Exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs, and a chair can be used for seated exercises or additional support when needed.

You'll move to music, enjoy a variety of exercises and work on the skills that help make everyday activities feel easier and more comfortable.

But Prime Time is about more than just exercise. It's also a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, have a chat, share a laugh and enjoy being part of a friendly community. In fact, many of our Prime Time members head out for a cuppa together after class!

Most importantly, it's about moving at your own pace, having fun and enjoying the benefits of regular movement in a supportive environment.

Prime Time runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am.

Sunday Quiche

Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 1 Tbsp ground flax + 3 Tbsp water, mixed together
- 1 cup whole almonds, ground into flour
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
- up to 2 and 1/2 Tbsp water, as needed
For the filling:
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 large garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 cup spinach
- 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 3/4-1 tsp fine grain sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Method:
1. Mix dry ingredients in a food processor for the crust.
2. Add oil and water then press into a tart pan. Use a little almond milk to help form the crust if the ingredients seem too dry.
3. Bake the crust at 180°c for about 15 minutes.
4. Sauté the onion, garlic and mushrooms.
5. Add the spinach and cook until just wilted.
6. Add the chives, basil, nutritional yeast and other ingredients and place in the precooked crust.
7. Pour the eggs over and bake at 180°c for 30-40 minutes or until the top is browned and bubbling.
