📣 New Recruit / Harry Flavelle 📣

The great news keeps coming! Not one, but two Flavelles are joining the Bloods for 2027! ✨🩸

Just like his brother Jack, Harry played most of his footy at Edi, winning back-to-back Senior flags in 2023 and 2024 before spending the past two seasons at Foster, where he added another flag in 2025 before unfortunately falling just short this year.

Harry is a tough inside midfielder who loves the contest and will bring plenty of grunt to our midfield. He’s also a ripper bloke on and off the field, and we’re looking forward to having him around the club. He’s keen to have another crack in 2027 and continue his development, this time alongside his brother Jack and some of his closest mates. 🔥

Why Mordy?
“I decided to come to Mordy to play with my mates and improve my skills.”

📣 New Recruit / Jack Flavelle 📣

We’re pumped to announce the signing of Jack Flavelle for season 2027! ✨🩸

Jack’s a crafty small forward with a great footy IQ who knows where the goals are. He’s also a ripper bloke who’ll be a great addition to the club both on and off the field. Jack played his junior footy at Edi before winning back-to-back Reserves flags in 2023 and 2024.

He then made the move to Foster in the Mid Gippsland Football Netball League, where he had a top 2025 season, kicking 33 goals and winning a Senior premiership. He backed it up with another 32 goals in 2026, narrowly missing out on another flag. He certainly knows his way around the big sticks… 💪🏻

Why Mordy?

✨It’s Cool To Cry | More Than Just Footy ✨

Sharing a few photos and looking back on a fantastic Hero, Hardship & Highlight session we held earlier this season, proudly funded by our major partner, Bendigo Bank – Parkdale.

Jack Davis from It's Cool To Cry joined our playing group for a powerful night of honest conversations and personal stories. It gave our players a chance to open up, better understand their teammates and build stronger connections both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to Kirra and the team at Community Bank Parkdale for making this possible and continuing to support the wellbeing of our players. It really does make a difference. 🫶🏻

🟢⚪ Proper Pals – This Thursday, 29 October 🟢⚪

It’s Cool To Cry is hosting another fantastic event at St Kilda Town Hall from 6:30pm, bringing people together to talk openly about mental health and the importance of checking in on your mates. There’ll be some great speakers, a Q&A panel, interactive workshops and even free Betty’s Burgers!

Having seen the impact of these conversations at our club, we encourage everyone to get along and support this great initiative.

Vale John Petrie. 🕊️💔

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of John Petrie earlier this week.

John was a legendary junior coach at Mordialloc during the 1980s and a much-loved part of our club’s history. He played an important role in developing young footballers and helping shape the next generation of Bloods players.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to John’s family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For those who knew John, we’d love you to share your favourite memories and stories as we remember his contribution to our great club.

🚨 2026 WOMEN’S BEST & FAIREST WINNERS 🚨

What a year for our two women’s teams at the Bloods! Our Division 2 girls made it through to the Preliminary Final, while our Division 3 girls reached the Grand Final in their first season together, with plenty playing footy for the very first time.

A massive congratulations to our two Best & Fairest winners.

Division 2 (Nat Cardamone Award): Brooklyn Towler
Division 3 (Leah Lavelle Award): Matilda Morris

Special mention to Brooklyn, who went one step further after finishing runner-up last year. Such a humble player with so much talent.

And a special congratulations to Matilda, who becomes the first-ever winner of the newly named Leah Lavelle Award. A fantastic achievement and a special moment in our Division 3 girls' history.

Well done to both girls! Two very deserving winners after brilliant seasons. Plenty to look forward to in 2027...

🚨2026 MEN’S BEST & FAIREST WINNERS🚨

What a year for our three men’s teams! All three finished as Minor Premiers and reached the Grand Final. Falling short of the ultimate prize still hurts, but there’s plenty to be proud of. We’ll learn from it, come back stronger and aim to go one better in 2027!

SFNL ANNUAL AWARDS 2026 🏆✨

A few snaps from a great night last Friday at the 2026 SFNL Annual Awards at Sandown Greyhounds.

A huge congratulations to Toby Plant, who claimed his second consecutive Division 2 League Best & Fairest, and Mitch Brown, who took home the Saturday Open League Best & Fairest. Two brilliant individual seasons and very well-deserved recognition for both lads. Plus all the award winners in the night… 👏🏻

The MFNC also finished a close runners-up in the Division 2 Club Championship award, another great result that capped off a huge year for the club. Congratulations to on taking out the award.

Thanks again to Southern Football Netball League and Sandown Greyhounds for having us. Was a top night!
