PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - SENIORS

Congrats to our players of the week, Gee Page and Adam Degabriele!

Gee was instrumental in the women's 2s win over Essendon, tossing 5 innings and collecting 2 hits for the day!

Ads was a triple short of the cycle - he had a home run, double, single, and a walk. He also turned a double play. And as if that wasn't enough, he got on the hill for 3 innings and amassed 4 strikeouts 🤯

Collect your $25 voucher at training thanks to our sponsors at the Waltzing Matilda Hotel!

On Saturday all women’s teams wore a white armband in honour of Milly Lillywhite, one of our favourite baseball dogs 🤍

See a message from Lynda Lillywhite below:

“I want to thank Ursula Howard for initiating the women’s teams wearing white armbands in honour of the passing of Shae Lillywhite’s sweet pup, Milly.

For 15 years, Milly’s been coming with us to watch the women play baseball every summer, at home & away games. Milly had also travelled extensively with Brian & I, following the Women’s Baseball Nationals & various tournaments held within Australia. A few cities & states include Canberra, SA, NSW, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong and more….

Milly loved meeting people & always had a smile ready for when people stopped to say hello & give her a pat.

Milly passed away last Monday, 12th October, 2026. Shae, Brian & I will miss her greatly. We thank all of the Springvale Lions for their love, support & caring at this sad time. Lynda 🦁♥️💙⚾️🤍”

Baseball is so much more than just a sport, we’re all thinking of the Lillywhite family and missing Milly around the club already ❤️‍🩹
