Following seven outstanding years of service, Old Scotch Cricket Club announces that President, Mark Griffiths has resigned from his role, effective 30 June 2026.

Mark’s leadership has helped shape one of the most successful periods in our club’s history. During his tenure, the club reached 11 grand finals and celebrated 6 premierships, including our inaugural 2XI and 3XI premierships. Under his guidance, Old Scotch has grown from two senior teams to four, becoming the first club to field a team in 4 divisions of the MCC Club XI Competition.

Mark’s influence has extended well beyond administration. He has been a driving force both on and off the field and we’re delighted that he will continue to represent the club as a player.

On behalf of everyone at the club, we extend our sincere thanks to Mark for his dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment over the past seven years. His contribution has left a lasting legacy, and we look forward to seeing him continue to make an impact for us into the future.

GRAND FINAL RESULTS

In what was a historic weekend for the club, having 3 teams compete in grand finals, it was the second XI providing the main highlight by saluting for their second flag in 4 season.

The run chase was exhilarating from the get-go with Tom Fish blasting them all around the ground to claim ‘best on’ honours.

Elsewhere we had two tough and disappointing losses, however we are proud to have made it to the final day and compete. Congratulations to and for their well deserved victories, both topped off with two matching winning batting performances.

We once again thank all our sponsors, the school and their ground staff and our supporters who have made the year so enjoyable.
