PB in the heat. PB again in the final. Fast place!

With only a few days to prepare for the jump from Age to Open, Eli has been working hard on his turns and challenging himself with new skills.

Always looking for something he can improve and never afraid to try something new.

BREAKING THE 4-MINUTE BARRIER! 🔥

Tonight, 16-year-old Kaisei broke the 4-minute barrier in his main event, the 400m Freestyle!

In an incredibly competitive field, Kaisei attacked the first 50m with great front-end speed, opening in 1:57.21 and then held strong all the way to the finish.

He took an incredible 4 seconds off his PB and finished 5th overall in Victoria!

What a tough swim from this young man. He showed courage, strength and belief from the first 50m to the final touch.

So proud of you, Kaisei! Swim tough!

A fantastic swim in the 50m Freestyle — PB! 💪

Emily and Ruby both raced the 200m Breaststroke and 50m Breaststroke and showed great racing this morning. 👏

Our youngest swimmers, Selby & James, gained valuable experience racing at Open level and had the opportunity to try different race plans with Coach James. Great learning experience!

WHAT A COMEBACK FROM IKUHA!

Congratulations, Ikuha, on winning the 100m Backstroke in 1:07.96, just off her PB!

After an ankle injury kept her out of the water for three months, coming back to racing was never going to be easy.

There were challenges, but Ikuha kept working, kept believing, and kept moving forward.

And here she is — back on top! 🥇

A SPECIAL MOMENT FOR OUR BOYS! 🥉

What an incredible race from our boys, swimming their best and taking 3rd place in the Open Relay! 🔥

Campbell, only 15 years old, started us off with a strong backstroke leg.

Andrew, also 15, took over with great front-end speed and created a wave for our team!

Then 17-year-old Eli swam incredibly, chasing down the field and passing to Daniel.

And then came our oldest brother, Daniel ❤️

Daniel started his leg so well and came into the final turn in 3rd place. We were all excited to see what he could do over the last 25m — and he gave us everything!

Daniel finished incredibly strongly, almost breaking the 50-second barrier!

🥉 3rd Place — Open Relay
🏅 Our first-ever Open Relay medal!

Always a fun event to watch — or race — the 25m Freestyle!

Only the top 10 swimmers from the 50m Freestyle are invited to race this exciting sprint event.

Eli swam strongly and came 3rd, with Coach James Ward timing him at an impressive 10.39!

400m IM — Kaisei 🥉

He followed his race plan and put the whole race together beautifully to finish a very proud 3rd place! 🥉

It was a huge challenge for him, racing the 400m Freestyle and then coming back for the 400m IM. But his mindset was right — he was determined to perform in his favourite event, especially racing alongside his teammate Leon.

After the race, Kaisei said:

“If Leon didn’t push me in the last 100m, I wouldn’t have swum that strong at the end.” 👊

That’s what great teammates do — push each other to be better!
