Lower Plenty Cricket Club is over the moon to announce the signing of left-arm medium all-rounder Liam Ingram for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
Liam joins the Leopards as the final and youngest member of the trio moving across from Preston Cricket Club this upcoming season.
Liam’s pedigree includes Premier Cricket experience at Carlton and Fitzroy-Doncaster. During his time on turf, he was awarded the 3rd XI MVP in 2021/22 and the 4th XI Bowling Award in 2023/24, prior to returning to the Preston Bullants in the VSDCA. He also spent a season abroad in the UK, playing for Pateley Bridge in the Nidderdale League, Yorkshire.
A fierce competitor, Liam is a former Lewin-Ruttenfeld 1st XI MVP medalist (2017/18) and most recently took home the MVP in Preston’s 2024/25 1st XI Premiership.
Off the field, Liam is a qualified cricket coach with an extensive knowledge of technique and game sense. He is also a qualified personal trainer with a deep passion for health and fitness.
On the field, Liam brings immense strength to the one-day format with various change-up deliveries and a positive intent to accelerate the innings at the crease. In the two-day format, his ability to swing the ball is a major asset, complemented by his skill in batting for long periods and keeping the scoreboard ticking over.
Word on the street is that Liam is one of the hardest workers you will ever come across. Most importantly, he is eager to help those around him and provide plenty of coaching advice to his teammates.
We also welcome Liam’s partner, Steph, and their fur baby, Nyla, to the Lower Plenty community. We look forward to hearing them cheer Liam on from the side-lines, and we know they are just as excited as we are to see Liam in the maroon and gold!
