On behalf of everyone involved at Bundoora Football Club, we would like to congratulate our skipper, Peter McEvoy, on a fantastic career!
Pete joined us in 2023 from Coburg’s VFL list and has since made a tremendous impact on our club, both on and off the field.
A driving force in our forward line, Pete has slotted 114 big ones in the Bundy jumper, while also making his presence felt in the ruck and behind the ball whenever the team needed him. His versatility and willingness to do whatever was required for the team perfectly sums up the type of player and teammate Pete has been.
But Pete’s impact extends well beyond his football. Selfless, passionate and fiercely committed, Pete has always put the club and his teammates before himself. His leadership, energy and genuine care for those around him have made him not only an outstanding captain, but quite simply one of the most loved and respected people at the club.
Pete’s impact has also been felt through his beautiful family. Alongside his wife Tess, Pete has brought Hamish, Lachie and now newborn Riley into the Bundoora family, and we are incredibly grateful for the support they have shown him and the club throughout his time in the blue and white.
It’s really difficult to put into words just how much Pete and his family mean to the Bundoora Football Club. From the playing group to coaches, volunteers, supporters and everyone in between, Pete has made an impact on countless people and has left the club a much better place than when he arrived.
We cannot thank you enough for everything you have given to Bundoora, Pete. Your passion, selflessness, leadership and friendship will be incredibly difficult to replace.
Congratulations again, skipper, on a stellar career.
