Yes, Yes, Yes we are the Lions
It's only now and then we lose a game (lose a game)
We're a jolly bunch of fellows and everyone's a star
If you don't find us on the training track you'll find us in the bar
So if you care to join us, you'll find

that we're all keen
'Cause we are the members of the famous red and green
Should old acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the red and the green

Ian 'Pancho' Richards is a club legend.
Pancho has done it all. Captain, premiership player, president and life member.

Sam Stedman is one of the new breed of our current Lions. Sam has represented the club in A Grade and took out the Peter Davy Memorial Award for a player who has shown commitment off the field at our Awards Night.

These two Lions and friends recently sat down for a chat about their respective time with our mighty club.

They spent the afternoon looking over Pancho's incredible vault of photos, newspaper clippings and shared memories.

A Grade player number 390
A Grade Captain number 20

Played in 3 premierships

We offer our sincere condolences to the John family.

RIP Bruce.

Even after retiring 15 seasons ago, the cap still fits for one of our all-time greats, Christopher Bassano.

'Bassy' is not only a club legend, but also a former Tasmanian Sheffield Shield player. He had successful County career with Derbyshire too!

He famously announced his entry to the County scene in 2001 with a match double of 186no and 106 on debut against Gloucestershire.

'Bassy' recently reflected on his time with the Lions and spoke with passion about the wonderful memories he has playing for the Lions.

Both Terry Dargavel and David Smith have played a significant role both on and off the field for our club and are both Life Members.

They sat down recently for a chat about their time with the Lions and the many great times (and premierships) they have experienced.

The Clayton family is synonymous with the Launceston Cricket Club for over 6 decades.

Garry, Sallie, Heath, Ross and now Heath’s children, Archie and Noah, have been a formidable force both on and off the field.

The Clayton’s sat down recently for a chat about their memories and time with the Lions.

What a magnificent contribution this family has made to the Lions.
