Weekend Results Round-Up ⚽️

A mixed weekend of football for our Rangers sides across Devonport and Launceston.

🔴 NC Women claimed a strong 3-2 win away to Devonport. Moana Chamberlin was outstanding, scoring a brilliant hat-trick to secure all three points.

🔴 NC Men went down 5-2 in a tough contest, with Diesel Murfet scoring both goals for Rangers.

🔴 NC1 were unfortunately handed a 0-3 loss via forfeit against Devonport.

🔴 Northern Socials were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Launceston United (White) on Sunday. Simmo scored the Rangers’ goal in a close local clash.

Enjoy the break over the long weekend, and we’ll see you back at home at NTCA on Saturday 13th June.

Part 2 of our 30 Year Anniversary Series is now live.

This chapter follows the continued growth of Northern Rangers Football Club through the mid-2000s, as the club evolved into a competitive senior side through strong player recruitment, coach development, and a growing club culture.

The video reflects on what went into securing the club’s first senior title in 2009, the establishment of the club’s first Senior Women’s side in 2007 under John Crooks, the development of the junior programs, and the step into the National Premier League era.

It also tells the story of the club returning to its roots — a community club built around mateship, family, and a shared love of football.

These videos were created as part of the club’s 30 year celebrations to help preserve and share the history of Northern Rangers, recognising the people, stories, and moments that helped shape the club into what it is today.

This Saturday we celebrate a huge milestone for Mitch Souter as he runs out for his 150th game for Northern Rangers FC 💚

Mitch has been a driving force for the NC1 squad over many years, proudly captaining the side and leading with consistency, commitment, and club-first values. Beyond the pitch, he’s always one of the first to put his hand up on game day to help wherever needed, and currently serves as Treasurer on the club board, showing the same dedication off the field as he does on it.

Come down and be part of this special moment as we recognise 150 games of service, leadership, and community contribution.

To celebrate 30 years of Northern Rangers FC, we’re proud to release Part 1 of a special video series documenting the club’s early journey and the people who helped shape it.

From the modest beginnings of the Northern Tasmanian Christian Soccer League (NTCSL), through to forming our first representative U16 11-a-side team, and ultimately establishing a senior club in 1999 competing in the Northern Tasmanian Premier League under then Soccer Tasmania, this story captures the foundations of who we are today.

The anniversary night was an incredible celebration of past players, memories, and history - with the video presentation as the centrepiece of the evening, bringing those early years back to life for everyone who attended.

For those who couldn’t be there on the night, thanks to the support of our sponsors, we’re now able to share Part 1 with the wider Northern Rangers community via our new YouTube channel.

Apologies for the delay in posting, the awards were announced earlier, but we’re pleased to officially recognise our winners.

We’d like to acknowledge both our sponsors and the outstanding achievements of our players.

NC – Bryley Jordan
11 goals in 4 games, finding the back of the net in every match with at least one first-half goal each time. A strong, consistent attacking performance throughout the period.

NC1 – Hayden Vandervelde
A standout month across multiple roles — kept a clean sheet in goals, scored 2 goals while playing up front, and contributed strongly through midfield with control and work rate.
