All good things come to an end and today we had a farewell luncheon to celebrate 9 years of trying to to set a very high standard on the local and National BMX scene. Yes I’ve made the difficult decision not to continue with the team next year as I cannot commit to attending all of the bigger races and offering 100% support to our team. It’s been an awesome journey riding the highs and lows with the entire team including Jayden’s world plate this year, many A plates, State plates, State rider of the year awards and corporate team trophy wins. Our team has been my BMX family, we’ve had each other’s back no matter what and I have no doubt that we will all be friends for life! It’s the end of a very enjoyable era however I look forward to watching their future BMX journeys.
Huge thanks to my wife Kath for her great support today and throughout my racing days, our coach the one and only “Big Dog” Brayden for his efforts, Tyson, Greg, Nash, Damo P and Ben for their advice, Damo and Mell for opening up the track, Cross Keys for looking after me as a life member in recent times and providing the track for training, the Mains for always helping with the tent and more and the whole team for their contribution. To our past and present riders thank you for your amazing efforts and representing all of our sponsors with distinction. Special thanks to our very valued sponsors Manoel Carpentry, JPC Johns Print Centre ( get well soon Reedy) Shield Insurance Brokers, SA Pipe Relining, Pave Cafe and LFB Luke’s Fitness Bootcamp and past sponsors Rick Cobby Transport, Jim’s Asbestos Removals, MTS Accountants, Bob Janes Modbury for allowing us to chase our BMX dreams. Also big shout out to Emmsee Clothing and Seal Custom BMX plates for looking after us often with tight timelines and coming up trumps every time!
Its been a pleasure writing detailed team wraps over the years but you will see me at the track for a few races next year maybe even on the mic.
I hope our teams legacy will be, train hard, prepare well physically and mentally and always give 110% with true class and sportsmanship!
Ride on peeps, yours in BMX, JC BMXTRM Racing🍻🏁

Day 3 Nat’s team wrap;
Brayden 17-24 Cruiser; putting his 2A on the line Big Dog was looking forward to it and started well with 1,2 however disaster struck in M3 as he was caught up in a pile up in turn 1 going down remounting and finishing a distant 4th when he was hoping for a heater for gate pick in the main. However he still qualified for the final with 7th pick resulting in lane 7 for the final requiring his snarling best to pop out and get across and into the mix. He was up to the task and executed his best reaction and start straight of the day slipping into P3 into turn one. The pressure was on but he kept his cool and brought it home for a sensational , congrats mate for digging deep and achieving this magic result💪
Juddy 11-12 Cruiser; Jumpin Juddy was desperate to get amongst the elusive A plates and was a picture of concentration going 4,2,2 in the motos followed by an impressive 3rd in the quarters. Determined to book his place in the final he dropped into a comfortable 3rd pushing hard until the second placed rider crashed right in front of him but it didn’t phase the Juddster threading his way past for a fine second, his fastest ride of the day! Gate slapped down and he jagged his best reaction time as he tried to get across from out wide but the pace was a cracker and it took until the last straight before he could pick up a spot and finally nabbing a 7A plate after many years of trying. I’m so happy for you mate with your mad skills on the bike and a great work ethic you thoroughly deserve this, hopefully the first of many A plates👊
Cannyn 13-14 Cruiser; First year in this class Crankin Can had a real challenge on his hands today but he relished the opportunity and posted 4,4,2 in the motos riding well against world and A platers. Gate dropped in the semi and he flew out with his quickest reaction of the day slipping into 5th and despite nailing his fastest lap was unable to pick up a spot sadly missing out on a finals berth. Chin up mate you rode really well and next year will definitely be your year on the cruiser🤙This result was enough for Can to sure up 6th in the National Cup Series, congrats bud!
Special mention to Tyson for a massive effort in Superclass unleashing a slashing ride in the stacked quarter 3rd but eventually bowing out with a 5th in the semi same as last year and 10th overall from 42 riders👊
Big shout out to friends of the team Craig Smith for a brilliant 35-39 Cruiser, Nitro Nate Wenske 8-10 Cruiser, Jayden Bradbrook 8-10 Cruiser, Matty Tidswell Superclass, Imogen Healy Junior female Superclass and all other South Aussie finalists.
We owe a lot to our coach Brayden Porter ( Porterperformance ) for his guidance throughout the year thanks mate, what a fitting way to cap off the Nationals with the big fella on the box in team colours🍻
Congrats to Auscycling and the Launceston BMX club for a massive effort.
Huge thanks to our very valued sponsors Manoel Carpentry, JPC, SA Pipe Relining, Shield Insurance Brokers, Pave Cafe and LFB for their ongoing support.
Safe travels home to all competitors and their families 🏁

Congrats to Brayden on a magnificent 3A, Juddy on his first 7A plate, Can 5th semi on cruisers and TC 5th in the Superclass semi 💪

Day 2 Nationals team wrap;
Cannyn 13 Boys; Crankin Can rode with great concentration and purpose today posting 2,3,2 in the motos followed by a sizzling 2nd in the quarter and 4th in the pressure cooker semi. He got out well and quickly slotted into 5th moving into 4th with a decisive move past a rider that ejected down second straight and quickly onto the heels of P3. He lunged at the line but had to settle for a wicked 4A his first ever A plate capping off a stellar year which includes 2nd in National cup, 2x 1SA’s and 1SS! Congrats mate on a super effort I can see a big fat Ricky Carmichael style on your plate!
Amy 13 Girls; Airtime Amy was all business keeping her wheels grounded recording 2,4,2 in the motos including a heater in M3 36.844! However I believe her biggest test yet came in the semis with her back against the wall she dug deep LFB style and clawed her way from 6th into 4th at the finish line to qualify for the final. From gate 7 she got out well but was unable to really get across slotting into 7th riding the wheels off it for a mighty in this gnarly field of fast chicks! Amy has also secured an impressive 6th spot in the National cup, Congrats young lady on a fine display of speed, skill and incredible determination💪
Brayden 17-24 Men; Big Dog was focused and it showed with 1,3,3 in the motos with his trademark strong last straights particularly in M2,M3 and the quarter finishing 4th. However similar to Amy he used his enormous experience and unleashed a phenomenal gate and first straight from gate 7 to drop into P3 exiting turn 1 which was pivotal! With a finals berth in his sights he brought it home for third booking his finals spot and 4th pick.
Gate slapped down and he was out nicely but the pace was a cracker and he was in a heavy dogfight. Despite his snarling best he got caught up with a few riders in the final turn and had to settle for a brilliant 7A his equal best on the 20”. Luv ya work big fella, congrats on today and your victory in the 2022 National cup making it all worthwhile! It’s been awesome to watch you set the tone for our team over there and your not finished yet👊
Juddy 13 Boys; Jumpin Juddy was ready to rumble his track positioning and consistency setting him up nicely in a stacked field racking up 3,2,3 in the motos including 36.874 in M1. He then got out well and snared 3rd in the quarter sliding into the semis with the pressure rising. He gave it his all but unfortunately got caught up in the mid pack madness shuffled back to 6th spot and 12th overall finish, not a true reflection of your speed or potential. However we’re really proud of you mate, you should hold your head high because all of us that have raced know it’s a pressure cooker out there in Aussie Titles and you gave it 110%. Juddy secured 3rd in the National Cup onya bud, I’m tipping a fired up Cross Keys shredder tomorrow on his Cruiser 🤙
Big shout out to friends of the team Jake “Bumblebee express” McKenzie 30-34 Men, Jayden Bradbrook 10 boys, Imogen Healey unfortunately taken out in her semi, Halle Wenske 8 Girls, Nate Wenske ( sadly crashed whilst in 2nd ) and any other SA finalists.
Huge thanks to our sponsors SA Pipe Relining, JPC, Shield Insurance Brokers, Manoel Carpentry, Pave Cafe and LFB for their amazing support.
Day 3 tomorrow will feature Big Dog, Cannyn, Juddy, on Cruiser and TC in Superclass starting 12pm SA time on YouTube Auscycling BMX Live page.🏁

Day 1 Auscycling National Titles team wrap;
Cody 6 sprockets; Cody bounced back from a warm up crash to ride the wheels off his Meybo recording 2 x wins and 2 x seconds after some titanic duels. Congrats little shredder your race craft, cornering and determination was very impressive today🤙
Quick shout out to friend and advisor of the team Tyson on a fine 6A in U23 elite men! Congrats Former team rider Matty Tidswell on 2nd ( thanks Amanda for the pic ) and Wiggy for also making the main. Also big Congrats to friend of the team Joel Marsh for his back to back Junior Elite titles with a crushing win and super quick lap times. Congrats to all other South Aussie finalists. Bad luck to mate of the team Luke Pretlove who crashed hard whilst leading the masters final and Jakey “Bumblebee” McKenzie on a hard fought 3rd in same class💪

Round 6 Auscycling National Series team wrap;
Juddy 12 Boys; Jumpin Juddy lit it up today going 4,1,4 in the motos and 4th in the semis. He then got a great start and clear run into the first turn slotting into 3rd where he finished recording his best ever National Series result if I’m not mistaken. Congrats mate on this super result, really proud of you and great reward for your hard work this year💪
Cody 6 Sprockets; Cody was having a blast today winning all of his motos including a wicked battle with his fastest rival coming out on top with superb cornerning and pumping. Luv ya work bud👌
Cannyn 13 Boys; Crankin Cannyn was flyin today recording 1,1,2 in the motos followed by a stout 2nd in the semi. Gate slapped down in the main and he got shut out a little dropping into 4th as he went to work searching high and low and surged to the finish with a lunge narrowly missing out on 3rd with 4 1/1000th second ending up P4. Nice job Can, a brilliant result and hit out for in preparation for Friday👊
Amy 13 Girls; Airtime Amy was ready for the battle today posting 4,3,4 in the motos. Gate dropped in the final and she got squeezed a little down the hill but rebounded with fire and desire for a fast finishing 5th her fastest of the day 37.332! Well done young lady, your track speed was impressive today🤙
Brayden 17-24 Men’s; Big Dog was sharp from a solid training block right from the outset with 3,2,1 in the motos and a sizzling 2nd in the semis for a good gate pick. Unfortunately he missed the gate a fraction in the final and got spat out the back but he didn’t give up and powered back to finish 5th at the stripe. Magic effort Coach, cobwebs blown off now you’re ready for Friday’s battle 👍
Thanks to the Launceston BMX club for a big effort and Auscycling for staging an excellent event.
Big shout out to our loyal sponsors JPC, Manoel Carpentry, Shield Insurance Brokers, SA Pipe Relining, Pave Cafe and LFB.
Most of the team will be back racing Friday and Sat for the National Titles🏁

Congrats Nitro on making the Aust Cycle Speedway Title final on the weekend only to touch the tapes looking for the hole shot resulting in being disqualified! Super achievement mate, bad luck on the start but who can blame you against those gun shredders, you always seem to get up for this big one! Congrats to Cody on another brilliant 1A and Bobby for 2A👊

Hutsix BMX State Titles day 2 team wrap;
Super proud of our team today earning more SA plates and finishing 3rd in the corporate teams event.
Cannyn 13-14 Boys Cruiser; 1,1,1,1 best in M4 34.284 withstanding quite a bit of pressure from BVH earning the coveted 1SA! Awesome racing mate to take the double and great to see you back on top where you belong!👊
Juddy 11-12 Boys cruiser; 1,3,1 in the motos and sticking manuals on the double superbly qualifying comfortably for the final. He got out well and quickly slotted into 3rd searching high and low for a pass eventually lunging on the line to grab 2SA with tremendous determination! Congrats Juddy so pumped to see you on the podium today knowing how hard you work👍
Cody 6 sprockets; Cody was looking sharp in his new team top and was on a mission winning all of his races even going high in the final berm to stick a manual and nose manual! Luv ya skills bud and looking forward to watching your progress in years to come👌
Greg 30+ Open; Backing up from his 1SA yesterday Greg rode smooth and fast as per usual going 2,2,2,2 for 2nd overall with a best of 34.079. Well done mate brilliant to watch you racing again, quick shout out to friend of the team Jake McKenzie on the win and best wishes to James Smith who pulled out of racing for a family emergency (hope all is ok mate?)
Owen Junior Superclass; OJ got away nicely with 2,2,4 in the motos comfortably making the final but with a late gate pick based on times from 3rd moto. He snapped out pretty well slotting into 4th in turn one when the leader binned it causing chaos forcing him really wide but he rejoined and pushed a little too hard in the final corner almost losing the front end and dropping back to 7th. Top effort mate,bad luck today could’ve easily been a top 3 with a bit more luck👊
Nash 17-39 Men’s Cruiser; In a blended class Nitro was keen to ride my Chase and push his limits riding really well despite buzzing the rear tire on his backside in one moto! He had some nice battles with Smithy and Benji (Congrats mate on the win) finishing with 3,2,3,3 for 3SA ( technically first in his class 25-29) to accompany his 4SA from yesterday. Nice effort mate really enjoyed announcing a few of your races and watching you boostin🤙

Hut six 2022 BMX State Titles day 1 team wrap;
Very proud of our teams efforts today coming away with some brilliant results!
Amy 13 Girls; Some tougher competition this year brought out the best in miss Airtime as she lit the afterburners going 1,1,1 including a super PB 36.622! Then with supreme determination she went into combat snatching the win on the line in M4 sealing her 5th State title in a row! Brilliant effort young lady, an absolute pleasure to watch, the extra sessions at LFB worked a treat hey💪
Cannyn 13 Boys; Crankin Can overcame a crash in moto 1 to regroup showing great maturity to win the next 2 motos and book his place in the main. When the gate dropped he nailed his best reaction time and rocketed into turn 1 extending the lead at every turn to regain the coveted 1SA plate in dominant fashion (33.162)! Luv ya work mate congrats keep it going 2 moro👊
Greg 35-39 Men; Racing for only the second time this year Clifty laid down another powerhouse performance going 1,1,1 including his best reaction and lap time of the day! With the overall victory in sight he eased off a fraction in M4 finishing 2nd but sealing another magnificent 1SA. Magic effort mate against some tough competition today, can’t wait to watch you race in 30+ open 2moro!
Juddy 12 Boys; This is without doubt one of the most hotly contested classes. Jumpin Juddy flew out the blocks goin 1,1,3 in the motos followed by a strong 2nd in the semi locking into the final. He got out well and slotted into 4th in turn 1 and kept it smooth and clean to snare an impressive 4SA. Well done Juddy a very consistent day can’t wait to watch you boost on your Cruiser 2 moro🤙
Brayden 17-24 Men; looking to defend his title Big Dog had some young guns keen to de throne him! He rode consistently as always recording 2,2,2 ready for the final. Gate slapped down and he jagged his best reaction and slotted into 2nd riding a smooth lap but just got pipped at the post by a hundredth of a second finishing 3SA. Top effort mate after limited prep from injury👊
Nash 25-29 Men; Keen to put some bad luck in the past 2 State Titles behind him Nitro Nash was racing for the first time this year was looking forward to some stout competition. He rode the wheels off it just getting squeezed out a little in a couple of the motos going 3,4,5,4 and 4SA overall.
Congrats mate excellent effort, my Chase is standing by and ready for the battle 2moro😜
