Heathmere FNC is a part of the South West Football Netball Club in SW Victoria. We have 2 Senior football sides and eight different grades of senior and junior netball. We are a family friendly club, with modern new club facilities, including newly renovated and refurbished clubrooms, new netball courts and other great facilities.

As we start preparing for the 2027 season, Heathmere FNC is seeking Expressions of Interest for Football & Netball Trainers! 🏉🏐

Our trainers are an important part of keeping our players supported and looked after throughout the season, and we’d love to hear from anyone interested in joining the team.

Whether you’re an experienced trainer, have previously helped out, or are interested in getting qualified and giving it a go, please get in touch!

Planning for season 2027 is already underway, and we’re now seeking applications for our Junior & Senior Netball Coaching positions!

With our 2026 Presentations this Saturday, we’re continuing to show some appreciation to our teams and celebrate everything they’ve achieved throughout the season! 🐦‍⬛

Next up, our U17 Footballers! 🏉

A massive thank you to Coach Brian “Marshy” Marshall and Assistant Coach Andy Paterson, along with our team manager, parents, families and all the volunteers who supported the boys throughout the year. The time and effort that goes into getting a team on the field every week doesn’t go unnoticed, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved! 👏

Our U17s earned themselves a spot in the first round of finals, where they absolutely played their boots off in a nail-biter! 🔥

The boys fought hard all game, and falling short in the final quarter was heartbreaking. But they should hold their heads high knowing they gave it everything they had and represented the black and white with plenty of heart and determination. 🤍🖤

If anything, that result has only added more fuel to the fire…

Bring on 2027 — our boys will be back and feistier than ever! 🔥💪

🌟 Sam Andrews — Equal 2nd in the MVP with 17 votes

🌟 Banjo Taylor — 4th in the MVP with 15 votes

And a very special congratulations to Banjo Taylor, who made history by becoming the first-ever recipient of the Blue Ribbon Footballer of the Year Award! 🏅👏

Two fantastic individual achievements and something for the entire club to be incredibly proud of!

Congratulations to our U17 boys on a great season. Take that hunger, determination and fight into next year — we have a feeling there’s plenty more to come from this group!

With our 2026 Presentations this Saturday, we’re continuing to show some appreciation to our teams and celebrate everything they’ve achieved throughout the season! 🐦‍⬛

Next up, our U17 Netballers! 🏐

What a year of development and growth it has been for this group! The improvement we have seen from each and every player throughout the season has been incredible, and there is so much for these girls to be proud of. 🤍🖤

One of the biggest highlights has been seeing every one of our U17 girls either playing in a senior side or stepping up to fill in across our senior grades throughout the year. That is a true testament to the talented young ladies we have coming through our club and the exciting future of Heathmere netball! 🌟

For the majority of this group, 2026 also marks the end of their junior netball careers, making this season that little bit more special. While one chapter may be coming to an end, we certainly hope it’s only the beginning of the next one!

We would absolutely love to see these girls back in the black and white in 2027, this time as senior netballers! 🖤🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our U17s throughout the season — our coaches, team manager, parents, families and volunteers. Your time and commitment have played a huge part in helping these girls develop both individually and as a team. 👏

With our 2026 Presentations this Saturday, we’re continuing to show some appreciation to our teams and celebrate the season they’ve had! 🐦‍⬛

Next up, our U13 Netballers! 🏐

A huge thank you to Coach Lexie Petch, our team manager, parents, families and all the volunteers who supported the girls throughout the year. From training nights to game days and everything in between, we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make the season possible! 👏

Our U13 girls came so close to playing finals they could almost taste it! After a great season of hard work, improvement and determination, they finished just one position short on the ladder.

While it wasn’t quite the ending they were hoping for, there is so much for this young group to be proud of. They continued to develop their skills, grow together as a team and showed us just how much potential is coming through our junior netball program. 🤍🖤

If anything, getting that close has only made the girls want it even more! 🔥 We’re sure they’ll take that hunger into the off-season and come back ready to have another crack in 2027!

A huge thank you to Coach Emma Hogg, our team manager, parents, families and all the volunteers who supported the girls throughout the season. Your time, encouragement and commitment to our junior players never goes unnoticed! 👏

With many of our U15 girls coming into the season fresh from being U13 Grand Final winners, this year brought a whole new challenge as a predominantly bottom-age side stepping up into U15s.

It was a tough and testing season at times, but WOW — the growth, courage and determination these girls showed week in, week out was something to be proud of! 🤍🖤

They continued to turn up, take on the challenge and develop their netball, and we’re incredibly excited to see what’s to come for this group. With another year of experience under their belts, the future is looking very exciting! 🌟

A massive thank you to Coach Paul “Whitey” White, Assistant Coach Chantel Pye, our team manager, parents, families and all the volunteers who have supported the Meres throughout the year. Junior footy takes plenty of people behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make the season possible! 👏

Our U14s put together a fantastic season that saw them earn their place in the first round of finals! 🖤🤍

The Meres gave it everything they had in their elimination final and, unfortunately, fell short on the day. But there was plenty to be proud of! We’re sure that result has only put a bit more fire in their bellies for next year, and we can’t wait to see this group come back bigger, stronger and hungrier in 2027! 🔥🏉

🌟 SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS 🌟

Last weekend saw the League Presentations, with two of our U14 Meres finishing right up amongst the top vote-getters:

🏅 Harry Barton — Equal Runner-Up with 21 votes
👏 Jack Starick — Equal 5th with 16 votes

What an outstanding achievement from both boys and a great reflection of the seasons they’ve had. Congratulations Harry and Jack — you’ve done yourselves, your teammates and the Meres proud! 🤍🖤

A huge thank you to Coach Grace Donald, our team manager, parents, families and all the wonderful volunteers who have supported our girls throughout the season. From getting everyone to training and games, helping out on game day and cheering loudly from the sidelines — junior sport simply wouldn’t happen without you! 👏

While U11 Netball is played without scores, there’s certainly no shortage of talent, determination and enthusiasm amongst our Junior Meres! 🌟

It has been fantastic watching this group grow throughout the year, developing their skills, learning to work together as a team and, most importantly, enjoying their netball.

There is plenty of exciting potential coming through the black and white, and we can’t wait to see these girls continue to grow and show us what they can bring in 2027! 🤍🖤

With our 2026 Presentations this Saturday, we want to take the opportunity to show some appreciation to each of our teams and celebrate their season! 🐦‍⬛

First up, our U11 Footballers!

A huge thank you to Coach Rhys Gadsden, our team manager, parents, families and all the volunteers who have helped our U11s throughout the year. Whether it was getting the kids to training, helping out on game day, running water, washing jumpers or simply cheering from the sidelines — every bit of support helps make junior footy possible! 👏

While U11 football is played without scores, there’s definitely no shortage of talent amongst our Junior Meres! We’ve loved watching their skills, confidence and teamwork develop throughout the season, and there is plenty of potential coming through the black and white. We can’t wait to see what this group brings in 2027! 🏉

🌟 SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS 🌟
On the 29th of August, a couple of our U11 Meres had the opportunity to take part in the North vs South League game at Heywood, representing the South and proudly pulling on their very own Meres jerseys for the occasion! 🤍🖤

We couldn’t have been prouder to see our boys out there representing both the South and Heathmere — and to top it off, TERRY GADSDEN was named Best on Ground for the South! 🏅👏

A fantastic achievement, Terry — well done!
