💚 PLAYER RE-SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT 💛

HFNC are excited to announce that Joziah “JoJo” Nannup has re-signed for the 2027 season!

Since joining Heywood, JoJo has quickly established himself as a key part of our senior side. His explosive pace, ability to burst from stoppages and exciting style of play have made him a valuable asset to the HFNC midfield.

After an outstanding first season in the green and gold where he claimed the 2025 Senior Best & Fairest, JoJo continued to make his mark in 2026, taking on the role of Senior Captain and backing it up with another outstanding season, claiming the 2026 Senior Best & Fairest and a spot in the SWDFNL team of the year.

JoJo’s performances and leadership have made him an important part of the club, both on and off the field, and we’re thrilled to have him continuing in the green and gold.

We can’t wait to see JoJo back in 2027 and look forward to what the next chapter brings! 💚💛

Club Person of the Year 2026

A huge congratulations to Hayley Ball, our 2026 Club Person of the Year!

Hayley’s dedication to our club goes far beyond this season. As our Club Secretary, she has given countless hours, weekends and evenings to making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

From organising awards, trophies and certificates to answering endless calls, messages and emails, Hayley is always willing to step up and help wherever needed. Most importantly, she genuinely cares about our club, our players, families and community.

We also want to thank Azza, Nyla and Bohdi for sharing Hayley with us and supporting the countless hours she has given to the club.

We’ll definitely miss having you as Secretary next year, Hayley, but we’re so grateful for everything you’ve done and look forward to still seeing you and the family around the club!

LIFE MEMBERSHIP ✨

Our third life membership of last night was awarded to long standing footballer, Micko Bell!

Micko has been a member of the HFNC since the early 90’s starting out as a junior footballer. Micko lives and breathes footy and has been lucky enough to add a few premierships over the years. Micko notched up game number 300 this year which is a significant milestone and huge accomplishment to show such dedication to one club for so long. Micko’s contributions go beyond the footy oval as well, having also spent time on the committee for a number of years and is our current membership coordinator.

We are so grateful to Micko and all he has done for the HFNC. Congratulations on your well deserved life membership 💚💛

LIFE MEMBERSHIP ✨

Congratulations to Pam Godfrey-Smith who was last night awarded with a life membership with the HFNC.

Pam’s involvement with the club began back in 2004 when daughter Brigid started playing. She has been a significant part of our netball program over the years which has included taking fitness trainings back in the Western Border days and most significantly her time as our trainer and first aider. Pam shows such care and dedication to our players, turning up every Thursday and Saturday to keep all our players fit and healthy and follows their care far beyond the court.

Pam, thank you for all you have done for our club over the years, we are so lucky to have you! 💚💛

LIFE MEMBERSHIP ✨

Congratulations to Kevin “Happ” Hughes who last night was awarded a life membership with the HFNC.

Happ’s involvement with the club started roughly 30 years ago and has included many roles including player, coach, committee member and a long standing mentor and volunteer since his playing days finished.
The true definition of a club person and a highly valued community member.

Congratulations Happ and thank you for your significant contributions over the years 💚💛
