ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD - TANNER BARCLAY

After making his return to the Super Rod class this season, Tanner Barclay set out with a fresh start behind the wheel of the eye-catching P76. Still one of the newer faces in the category, Tanner approached the season with a great attitude and a willingness to learn every time he rolled onto the track.

Contesting 11 of the 15 Aggregate rounds, Tanner put together a very consistent season to finish an impressive 7th overall in the Aggregate standings. He also enjoyed an outstanding G & C Forestry / Lupton Builders Super Tour, finishing 5th overall against a quality field of contracted drivers.

While the results speak for themselves, this award recognises much more than finishing positions. Throughout the season, Tanner continued to develop his racecraft, gain confidence behind the wheel and learn more about both the car and what it takes to be competitive in the Super Rod class. With every meeting, his improvement was easy to see.

The Encouragement Award is about recognising a driver who continues to grow, puts in the effort, and has an exciting future ahead of them. Tanner certainly ticks all those boxes, and we're looking forward to watching him continue that progress next season.

Unfortunately, Tanner was unable to join us at the Presentation Dinner, but it was wonderful to have his parents there to proudly accept the award on his behalf.

Congratulations, Tanner, on being named the recipient of our 2025/26 Encouragement Award. We look forward to seeing you back on the track next season and continuing your impressive development.

🔥 Championship Fight Blows Wide Open After Round 7 🔥

Round 7 at Redline Raceway has completely tightened the Super Rod Tour standings — and we’ve now got a three-way fight at the top.

After a huge night of action, just 20 points separate the top three drivers, with Stan Marco Jnr narrowly holding the lead from Jamie May and Allan Pitcher. With margins that small, the championship could change hands multiple times in a single round.

Further back, Michael Coad continues to build a consistent campaign and remains within striking distance, while Tanner Barclay holds strong inside the top five and keeps the pressure on.

The mid-pack battle is just as intense, with Peter Duynhoven, Paul Singleton, and Sally Woolstencroft all locked in a tight fight where every position gained or lost is proving critical.

And don’t count out the movers — Ash Marshall continues to climb, showing he’s capable of shaking up the order before the season is out.

🏁 Next Round – Round 8

The Super Rod Tour now heads to Blue Ribbon Raceway, Horsham for Round 8 on Saturday May 16th, proudly supported by EMC Trailers.

With the championship this close, Horsham could prove to be a turning point in the season — one big result could see a new points leader emerge, or the gap tighten even further.

With the points this close and momentum swinging every round, the 2026 Super Rod Tour is shaping up to be one of the tightest championships in recent memory.

Easter means something different to everyone… but for us, it means one thing — Easter Trail Racing time.

Three tracks. Three nights. Big action.

The Super Rod Easter Trail is proudly supported by EMC Trailers Australia, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest weekends on the calendar.

Night one kicks off at Avalon Raceway in Lara, where teams will roll in ready to fire for the opening round of the weekend. With the added prestige of the 3CS Cup on the line, there’s no easing into this one — it’ll be flat out from the first green flag.

Night two sees the convoy head across the border to Mount Gambier, taking on the Borderline clay for round six of the Super Rod Tour Series. With valuable series points up for grabs, this night could prove crucial in the championship fight. A big thanks goes to Tour sponsors G & C Forestry and Lupton Builders, along with round sponsor Parr Motorsports for their continued support. With Stan Marco Jnr currently leading the standings, all eyes will be on whether he can hold his ground under pressure.

Then it all comes down to the final night at Premier Speedway in Allansford — a fitting stage to wrap up the weekend. Not only does it close out the Easter Trail, but it also features the prestigious Super Rod Cup, one of the true blue ribbon events for the class. Expect nothing left in the tank as drivers throw everything at it for the final honours.

Adding to the weekend, the SDAV Hot Rods will also be in attendance, boosting the fields and ensuring plenty of action for the fans trackside.

Big night of racing tonight over in warnambool

It’s Victorian Title night for the Super Rods at Premier Speedway, and with the reigning champion now retired, a brand new Victorian #1 will be crowned tonight.

A strong field of competitors has assembled, including former champions Michael Coad, Jacob Pitcher, and Leigh Podger, while drivers like Jamie May, Paul Verhoeven, and Stan Marco Jnr will be hungry to go one step further and stand on the top of the podium.

With experience, young talent, and plenty of speed throughout the field, the battle for the Victorian crown is wide open.

Who will rise to the challenge and take home the Victorian Super Rod Title tonight?
