The 2025/26 season has officially come to an end, and we are proud to have finished 3rd overall in the VMPA Series.

To be honest, the result came as a bit of a surprise. We hadn’t quite put together the results we were chasing for most of the season, but a strong final round was enough to move us up into 3rd overall.

It wasn’t the most consistent season for us, but we’re pretty happy to come away with a top-three finish in the series and finish the year on a positive note.

Throwback to last year's National Modified Sedan Title, which featured a memorable heat race. Nathan Macdonald started mid-pack or at the back. He advanced to second place within a couple of laps, engaging in a remarkably clean battle with Lachlan Fitzpatrick, characterized by mutual respect and no contact, for first place until the chequered flag. Lachlan Fitzpatrick emerged victorious by a narrow margin, which could be described as a headlight.

Ern Overall Memorial – Redline Raceway Recap 🏁

Heat 1 we started P2 and ran right on the leader’s tail the whole race, just couldn’t quite get the move done, coming home P2.

Heat 2 we rolled off P8 and worked forward to P5.

In the Pole Shuffle, we went from P5 to P2, putting us in a strong spot for the final.

Started P2 in the feature and got the jump early to take the lead. Darcy Wilson applied plenty of pressure from behind, eventually dropping back to P2 on lap 11. After a caution on lap 18, Michael Wicks got through, putting us back to P3.
Great racing all night across the field.

We later found we’d been dealing with a right rear puncture, which didn’t make things any easier.

All in all, a solid way to finish the season with good speed all night 🏁🔥

We’re back at Redline Raceway Ballarat tonight for the Ern Overall Memorial, and it’s our last meeting for the season 👊🔥

Coming off a strong run last time out, we’re looking to carry that momentum into tonight and finish the year on a high. The car’s been feeling good, still a few things we are hoping to nut out tonight.

Looking forward to getting out there and having a crack.

🔥A win at the final round of the VMPA Australian Racing Products Series!🔥

Heat 1 we started P2 and finished 3rd, just finding our feet and learning a new track as the race went on.

Started P9 in Heat 2, but it didn’t go our way. The cars in front checked up and we had nowhere to go, then the left rear wheel was driven through which caused some pretty serious suspension damage.

Huge effort from the crew to get the car back out for the feature, where we rolled off P10. The car may not have looked pretty but felt strong, and we were able to work our way forward into P4 💪

From there, chaos struck up front with the top three cars all dropping out with mechanical issues — putting us in the right place at the right time to take the win at Simpson Speedway! 🏁🔥

Big shoutout to Tristan Mcgraw for his efforts, lending parts and being my crew chief for the night! Much appreciated!

We’re here at Simpson Speedway for the final round of the VMPA series 👊🔥

It’s been a big season so far, and we’re looking to finish the series on a high. The car’s been running well, just need to tune it up a bit more to find that extra speed we are missing.
