Oscar from our U11s is away this week representing Riverina PSSA at the State Football Carnival in Nelson Bay.

Oscar played a key role in Riverina's Day 1 games, scoring himself some nice goals in the process!

A huge congratulations and good luck to four Griffith & District Football Association players who are proudly representing Riverina this week at the NSWPSSA Primary Boys Football Championships! 👏

The boys are competing against representative teams from across NSW at Salamander Bay from Tuesday 1 to Thursday 3 September.

Being selected to represent Riverina at a NSW championship is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud to see four players from our local Griffith competition earning this opportunity.

GFA is teaming up with Football Canberra Education, giving our older players exclusive access to UEFA A Licence coach Ian Worthington and an elite football development environment built around genuine player pathways.

We will welcome Ian back to Griffith to put our players through their paces, all subsidised by GFA!

With coaching experience spanning Australia, England, Japan and the professional game, Ian and the Football Canberra team bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to player development.

It’s time to celebrate an awesome season of Griffith Football Academy! 💚🖤

After the presentations, we’ll fire up the BBQ 🌭 and let the kids finish the night with a kick-around! ⚽🔥

Our Griffith teams had a wonderful day at our tournament on Sunday!

Despite the wind, rain and challenging conditions, our teams battled hard, supported each other and gave it their all. More importantly, they showed fantastic sportsmanship, respect and teamwork throughout the day. They represented GFA with pride and did our club incredibly proud!

There were plenty of smiles, plenty of muddy boots and, most importantly, so many memories made, friendships forged and experiences shared

We had 12 teams entered, and there were wins, draws, losses (and learnings), but more importantly opportunities to go out there and play the game the kids all love.

We couldn't be prouder of every single one of our players. They represented GFA with heart, respect and plenty of determination.

Braving the cold, wet and windy conditions, 80 local and visiting teams played over 175 games, and Ted Scobie Oval was a sight to see with 1000s of players, coaches and supporters (and tents and umbrellas)!
