Now in its 11th year, we are pleased to announce that we have a new naming partner for Run Fest Forster Tuncurry – Eire Constructions. We are proud to partner with Eire Constructions with the premise to improve the experience for participants and further engage community groups. This event has grown significantly over the years to have close to 2,000 runners and walkers participating. Run Fest For

ster-Tuncurry has become a major regional event with local participation and a large number of travellers heading to Forster-Tuncurry to indulge in our beautiful area. Through this partnership with Eire Constructions we’ll seek to continue the growth and firmly put Run Fest Forster – Tuncurry on the calendar as a destination event. We now offer you another reason to get away for a perfect spring weekend and visit our beautiful town in the Great Lakes. Surrounded by ocean and the stunning Wallis Lake, you will make your way running over the Forster Tuncurry Bridge and along both breakwalls. This is one of the most picturesque run courses you will ever experience. All event course(s) take in the stunning foreshore areas of both towns and connecting bridge. Whether you are an elite athlete, jogger or walker, there is an event for everyone. Enjoy a family day out of fun and fitness where you can choose from the Kids 3km Fun Run, 5km Run, 10km Run and a Half Marathon. Alternatively, you can choose to take on the ultimate challenge: the “Treble Bridge Buster”. Not a runner? Team up with your friends and family and enjoy the beautiful 3km IMF event. Take your pick of events and join us in Forster-Tuncurry this August. We generally have beautiful weather during for the running festival, which is perfect for a dip in the ocean after the run. Up for the Buster in 2023, complete the Half Marathon + 10km and 5km events. The combined distance of the Buster is 36.1km and includes 10 runs over the iconic Forster-Tuncurry Bridge. The Bridgell Buster is a fantastic challenge for the seasoned fun runner or a fantastic hit out if you are looking to step up to running marathon. In addition all finisher’s names will be added to the Treble Bridge Buster Honour Roll. NEW in 2023 – Treble Team Relay
Recruit your team to complete the Treble team relay whereby you’ll have runners in Half Marathon, 10k and 5k events. Try to achieve your fastest combined time or simply as a team. All runners entered in treble relay teams will also be included in the individual events Half Marathon, 10k and 5k event results. Limited entry positions available for this new event. Key Dates in the lead up to the race weekend:
Super Early Bird Entry till end of January 2023
Early Bird Entry till end of March 2023
Free Race Shirt available with entry till end of March 2023. Applicable to Treble Bridge Buster, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k runners
Treble Finishers shirt available with entry till end of March 2023
Online Entry closes Thursday 17th August 2023

Make sure you register before the end of June 2023 to get your name/nickname on your race BIB. There’s no better way to attract support on the course. Also there is a team trophy – be sure you register your team or join a team when entering. The largest participating team will be announced as the winner of the award. A huge thank you to KR Kiltman Bagpipes in Random Places for bringing something truly special to John Holland Park Eire Constructions Run Fest Forster Tuncurry 2026! 🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

How good was it running through that section of the course. It certainly added plenty of atmosphere and put smiles on a few faces! The best part — Keith didn’t just play the bagpipes. He was also part of the event team, volunteering his time from set-up right through to pack-down.

🏃‍♂️🎶 **Bagpipes in Random Places – Forster-Tuncurry Running Festival!** 🎶🏃‍♀️

Yesterday I took the bagpipes along to Run Fest Forster-Tuncurry and what a fantastic day it was!

With more than 1,000 runners taking part, there was an incredible atmosphere around Forster-Tuncurry. It was brilliant to see people of all ages and abilities getting out there, challenging themselves and enjoying the event.

A huge congratulations to everyone who ran!
Whether you were chasing a personal best, tackling your first race, or simply enjoying the experience - you should all be proud of yourselves. 👏👏

I also want to say a huge thank you to all the runners who encouraged me while I was playing. The cheers, waves, clapping and words of encouragement really did make my day. ❤️
A couple of runners even stopped to take selfies with me while I was playing, which was pretty cool!
📸😂 It’s moments like that which make playing Bagpipes in Random Places so much fun.

And a massive shout-out to the organisers and the army of volunteers who made the day possible. Events like this don't happen without an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, and your efforts were very much appreciated. 🙌
