Great Lakes Junior Cricket Club needs to announce some changes for this age group this year. This year the Manning Association is possibly not fielding a under 16s comp due to possible reduction of teams in this age group. This means the club is working very closely with the senior club so that the children will be given all the opportunities they would have if in the Under 16s age group. If the Under 16s competition is successful then we can submit the team in that age group.

This means that this age group can register to play in the senior competition this season, at the junior registration costs, but only if your child is aged 16 and below, as of the date of 1/9/2026 and would playing in the Under 16s age group, you can register your child for this age group via this link below. As most of the kids in this age group played a game or all season last year we feel this will be smooth and no issue for the children.

The senior competition games start 1pm and can finish around 6 to 6:30pm, still on a Saturdays. These games are a 40 over a side style game with no maximum number of balls for the child to face. Creating more opportunity and possible playing time for your child. These teams will be filled with both adults and children in the low tier 3 (bottom grade), this will ensure that your child will be happy and get the most out of their game. If you feel this isnt best for your child, please reach out and we can work with you on other options.

This price is only offered to kids playing in the Under 10 age group and you qualify for a $20 rebate if you bring a friend.

This year we are offering rebate.. If you sign up and get a new friend to sign up, you will get a rebate of $20. This is only valid for new players to the club and they need to mention who referred them when they register. We will contact you once the season has started to arrange the rebate payment.

These little legends have been our first woolworths blast group for a few years. We have been running the program for roughly 7 weeks now and the skills they have developed is already showing. Since coach David is having fun and so are the kids we will run it for two more mondays at this stage with the last Monday being on the 14th of September. Thank you to the parents for bringing the kids each Monday hope you have enjoyed seeing your kids learning. We have a few things occurring in the next few weeks and will be posting any new registration periods / windows.

🏏 GREAT LAKES JUNIOR CRICKET CLUB AGM 🏏

Tonight we held our Annual General Meeting, with a new committee officially voted in to lead Great Lakes Junior Cricket Club into the next chapter.

A huge amount of recognition and appreciation must go to our outgoing committee. The hours, effort and commitment these volunteers have poured into our club and our community have been nothing short of incredible. ❤️💙

Clubs like ours simply don’t happen without people willing to put their hands up, give their time and do the work behind the scenes — often without anyone seeing just how much goes into it.

While we welcome the new committee, we’re also hopeful that we can retain some of our outgoing committee members in lighter roles, allowing us to keep benefiting from their experience and knowledge rather than losing them altogether.

The next chapter is about building on what has already been achieved, continuing to improve the club, creating more opportunities for our juniors and fostering sustainable growth for the future.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to working together to make Great Lakes Junior Cricket Club an even better place for our young cricketers and their families.

A massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to the club — past and present. 👏

First game for the kids will be Saturday the 17th October, but that just means that you have time to check your shoes and pants still fit and get your friends keen.
