Redlands Rays Baseball Club is currently seeking a Club Coach and Head Coach Division 1 & 2

⚾ Club Coach
A leadership role focused on driving club-wide development and performance, including:
Strategic planning and delivery of club training programs
Mentoring and development of junior and senior coaches
Establishing consistent player pathways and selection frameworks
Aligning coaching standards across all teams

⚾ Division 1 Head Coach (also responsible for Division 2)
A high-performance role focused on team outcomes, including:
Management of Division 1 & Division 2 team rosters
Game-day coaching, strategy, and performance
Creating a strong, supportive team culture with clear expectations
Managing assistant and specialist coaches (including pitching coaches)
Monitoring player performance, wellbeing, and development

✅ Key Requirements (both roles):
Relevant coaching experience at this level or equivalent
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Commitment to promoting Redlands Rays and Baseball Queensland (BQI) values
Current Blue Card (Working with Children)
USA Baseball coaching accreditation (A, B, C) or willingness to obtain

Juniors Competition Dates:
Sundays from 16 August to 13 September 2026

Age Range:
U14 - Players born in 2013 and 2014
U16 and U18 - Players born in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012

EOIs CLOSE TUESDAY, 30 JUNE 2026

U14
The competition will introduce a revised format this year, with a stronger focus on player development through a skill-based instructional approach centred on learning and improvement. Each session will feature structured training activities designed to build core baseball skills including hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and game awareness before progressing into a full game where players will return to their drafted team and can apply these skills in a competitive environment. This half training/half game model promotes participation, confidence, teamwork, and long-term athletic development while ensuring the competition remains enjoyable, engaging, and educational for all players.

U16/U18
The competition will once again feature doubleheader Sundays for the combined U16 and U18 age groups, creating a stronger and more competitive environment that will challenge and benefit all participating athletes. This structure provides players with an excellent opportunity to showcase their abilities while competing at a higher level, helping prepare them for the upcoming season and future representative pathways.

Junior Presentation Season 2025/26

What a season it has been!

First of all we would like to thank all our Coaches, EO's, Scorers, Umpires, Canteen Helpers, Grounds Crew, Coordinators and Committee Members for all the time, hard work and dedication, without you, the club simply would not exist. There are many roles up for grabs for the upcoming season, so please get in touch if you are interested in volunteering.

Our Juniors are where the special moments are born, from learning how to catch a ball to throwing their first strike, controlling the bat at the plate to seeing their first home run, thank you to everyone that cheers them on. We would like to congratulate not only the award winners but all Redlands Rays players! We hope to see you all back again next season.

Shout out to the newly formed 'all-female' Robina Braves Baseball Club team! 🙌⚾️

And what a roster! From WPBL and Emeralds star Molly Paddison, Queensland reps Hannah Elliott, Sally Knechtli, Charlotte Stokes, and Ashley Ruzika, to youth women’s state reps and rising stars. Managed by Molly, and supported by Shelley Smith managing the squad, we love what they're doing on the field.

But off it they’re connecting the girls in amazing ways. A new tradition will see each player design a personal sticker badge for their cap. Representing family, heritage, personal milestones, or causes they care about, these badges are all about building identity and starting conversation.
