Course update
With the recent rain can we please stay atleast 15 meters from the greens with the motorised carts the main holes are the 3rd both sides

6th follow the arrows and don't go down right hand side of green to cut across to the 7th as its Very WET go left-hand side and use road to 7th tee

7th stay up right hand side park on path and walk to the green

9th stay either left or right but don't drive over humps near green

12th stay right hand side park at last tree and walk to green and 13th tee bed

14th stay right hand side park at last tree unless down left hand drive far out as left you can and go behind green to park on paddock side of 15th tee

Apart from that tree line will be your best friend for the day as more showers are forecast
Happy hitting

Course and motorised golf carts update

With the rain from today and the rest of the week when it comes to motorised golf carts
In a group of 4 players can we only use 2 motorised carts per group by offering your playing partner a lift even though they might have a motorised cart it just makes less damage to the course while we are wet soft and please follow the arrow signs around the course
Much appreciated Dave

Saturday nights fun topic

Amateur golfers, please, for the love of god I'm BEGGING youโ€ฆ

I know you're new to the game, and that's fine, but please listen...

If you're gonna suck, suck FAST.

Nobody cares if you shoot 105.

You know what we DO care about?

Rate of play.

Three practice swings. A waggle. Step off. Read the wind. More practice swings. Rangefinder one more time.

Then you chunk it 20 yards.

Looking for the ball in the woods for 10 minutes. It's gone. Move on.

It only takes one slow foursome and now EVERYONE'S looking at a 6 hour round.

And look, sucking at golf isn't the issue. Everyone sucks at golf.

It's simple, just hit your shot, find it, hit it again, and keep it moving.

You can suck and still be everyone's favorite guy to play with. (I'm proof ๐Ÿคฃ)

So please, it's fine to suck at golf. Just suck faster.

What's the longest round you've ever had to endure? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Course update
After the rain last week we had roughly 90 mils of rain and you can guess what happen the course got very wet soft muddy but still didn't stop people driving on certain fairways knowing that it was soft and wet to the green aprons leaving tyre marks so today Dave went around with the arrow signs to show people where not to drive until we dry out and if you ain't sure just keep your motorised carts in the rough line and walk to your ball it would make things easier for everyone and also keeps the course looking good
Much appreciated Dave ๐Ÿ‘

June 6th, 2026.
Monthly Medal.

Todayโ€™s event was stroke play. It was the "Holcim", June, Monthly Medal event.
Many thanks to Tommy, and Holcim, for their continued support of our club.

The weather was mostly fine, with only a couple of misty showers to keep things damp. With the rain, of 75 to 100 mils over the past week, the course has become quite spongy, as have the greens. All looks good, however. It was quite a pleasant winter afternoon for a game.,
A smaller field of 25 players competed in this weekโ€™s event. Two grades were declared.

RESULTS.
A Grade: Winner โ€“ Ricky Carr, 87 โ€“ 11 - 76. (C/B).
A Grade: Runner Up โ€“ Billy Arnold, 86 โ€“ 10 โ€“ 76.

B Grade: Winner โ€“ Jesse Horan, 97 โ€“ 22 โ€“ 75. Privilege Pot, and June Monthly Medal winner.
B Grade: Runner-Up โ€“ Peter Gubbins, 91 โ€“ 15 โ€“ 76.

NEAREST THE PINS.
2nd โ€“ AIRR COUNTRY ROAD FARM SUPPLIES โ€“ Algie White.
7th (2nd shot) โ€“ MOLAN PLUMBING & CIVIL โ€“ Ricky Carr.
9th โ€“ CAMPERDOWN PREMIX โ€“ Simon Gill.
15th โ€“ CELLARBRATIONS โ€“ Jake Bateman.
17th โ€“ Sewells โ€“ Gabby Gill.

Birdie Hole. (Par 4, 12th). (Sponsor โ€“ A1 Air Control).
Vacant.

Best Nine Out โ€“ Peter Gubbins. (20 Stableford points).
Best Nine In โ€“ Rick Carr. (18 Stableford points).

Putting Competition.
Won by Jason Murrell, who recorded 27 putts.

Longest Putt on the 18th.
Was won by Billy Arnold.

Balls Down the Line.
Jason Murrell, 76; Jack Kerr, 77;
Craig Longmore (Warrnambool), 77;
Nathan Moran, 77; Simon Gill, 78;
Luke Clarke, 78; Jack Davis, 78;
Bernie Sinnott, 78.

NAGA Award.
John Pearson won this prestigious award, with Nett 92.

PLEASE NOTE!
1. There was a lot of evidence that drivers of golf carts are ignoring the fact that the course has softened up a lot. The fairways have been through a โ€œtoughโ€ summer, and while they generally look pretty good, the grass cover is minimal. Cart users are asked to use the tree lines for carts please. A short walk to the ball will not hurt any of us!

2. As of today (7th June), Winter Handicaps are to be played at Camperdown 18 Hole Events. Please check your handicap before you play. (Remember - 18 hole events only!).

3. Next week is a PAR event. Round 1 of the โ€œhealthSAVE Camperdownโ€, three week event.
