Alright so they all lost π
...
..but man are we proud of them!
First up was Antoni, having his first ever bout against a crafty Victorian. This lad was slick and kept Antoni guessing all 3 rounds, but nothing that would deter him from putting the petal to the metal and leaving it all in there! Well done Antoni, you worked hard and showed courage stepping into that ring, keep going levendi!
Next was Michael, an entertaining 3x3 open bout, with no headguards and a stunning field of cornrows. Michael was up against a heavy hitter from WA and had to stay on the move and pick him off. Having carried a considerable neck injury this week and a not-so-fun weight cut in lead up to the bout, he showed valour in being ultra-competitive at such a high calibre of boxing, despite the adversity. Mbravo Mixali
Lastly was Mehtaab, also having his first boxing bout, against a tough lad from New Caledonia. In classic Mehtaab style, he pressured and punched for 3 rounds straight in what was an ultra competitive back and forth. Having done what we would have thought was enough for the win, was seen otherwise in the judges eyes, and such is boxing. Well done Mehtaab, youre a beast mate.
Win, lose or draw, as coaches, we must look inwardly and ask ourselves; 'how can I improve my approach in order to enable my boxers to continue improving.'
What an incredible opportunity it is developing boxers, little do the boxers know how much they're developing us.
Great work everyone and lots of love to the BB family for their relentless love and support β₯οΈπ€
