The best Pilates instructors aren’t necessarily the most talented...
It’s easy to think that becoming a great instructor comes down to experience, confidence, or natural ability. Truthfully, most instructors start in exactly the same place.

1️⃣ They stay curious.
Qualifying is an incredible milestone, but it’s only the beginning. The best instructors keep asking questions, seeking feedback, and learning from every class they teach.
2️⃣ They practise what they teach.
Spending time in your own body helps you understand what your clients are feeling. It builds empathy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of movement.
3️⃣ They find their own teaching style.
Every instructor brings something different to the studio. The goal isn’t to teach exactly like someone else - it’s to discover the style that feels authentic to you and continue refining it over time.
At MWM, we’re proud to teach through the BASI Pilates method because we believe strong foundations create confident instructors.
But a qualification is only the beginning.
The real growth happens every time you step into the studio, teach a class, reflect, and do it all again. 🔁
