We started with a dream of taking basketball to every corner of South Africa. This is what that dream looks like in action. 🏀🇿🇦

6 clinics completed. 4 provinces reached. 812 young players impacted — and we’re only getting started.

This programme is about more than basketball. It’s about developing skills, building character, promoting healthy bodies and healthy minds, creating opportunities and strengthening communities.

Free State, we’re coming! 🏀🔥

The NLC x JBA x Johannesburg Giants Cares Basketball Clinics & Life Skills Programme continues its national journey, and this weekend we’re heading to the Free State!

In collaboration with Free State Basketball, we’ll be bringing two days of basketball development, skills training, life skills, health & wellness, mentorship and plenty of fun to young players in Bloemfontein and Welkom.

🏀 Two days. One community. Endless potential. ❤️

What an unforgettable weekend in Kanyamazane, Mpumalanga!

The NLC, Johannesburg Basketball Academy & Giants Cares Basketball Clinics & Life Skills Programme brought together incredible young athletes for two days of basketball, mentorship, fitness, health education, and life skills.
Every drill, every smile, every lesson, and every moment on the court reminded us why we do this. We are not just developing better basketball players, we are developing confident young leaders for the future.

A huge thank you to the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) for investing in our youth, Nkomazi Basketball Club for partnering with us and to every coach, volunteer, parent, and participant who made this clinic such a success.

🏀 Day 1 Complete | Mpumalanga National Clinic 🇿🇦

What an incredible first day in Kanyamazane, Mpumalanga! 🙌🏾
Our young athletes brought outstanding energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn as they worked through the four key pillars of the game:
🏀 Ball Handling
🛡️ Defence
🤝 Passing
🎯 Shooting & Layups

Each station challenged players to develop their skills, build confidence and strengthen the fundamentals that will help them grow both on and off the court.

A huge thank you to our partners, Nkomazi Basketball Club, the dedicated coaches, volunteers and every player who gave their best today. We can’t wait to see everyone back for Day 2 as we continue to develop the next generation of South African basketball talent.
