“Pop’s forgotten more about setting up a bow than most will ever know. His wisdom, experience and knowledge runs deep and I’ve watched him hold conversations with the owners/manufacturers of bow companies. His suggestions and designs have went into bows - one company president once took pop’s notes on a dinner napkin back to his bow engineers and he told them to build the bow according to those notes. I could write a book on all he’s done for archery and for his customers, friends and family.
I was the first archer in the world to perform some of the shots I do on stage. It was him and his tuning of my gear! Pop has set up and tuned every single stage bow I’ve used in 41 years. I’ve always said I have the best pit crew in archery. He’s set up both my son’s bows and had them shooting at a very early age. Three generations.
He loves his customers and feels like they are family too. I can honestly say he puts 100% into every single bow he touches. As he has aged his hands don’t grip the tools as tightly but I assure you his brain holds the knowledge and he can still set up a bow that will shoot where you look! He’s one part hero, mentor, and best friend and much more. I wanted to come on the shop page and let everyone know how I feel about Pop.
Happy Father’s Day Pop - and to all yall out there that are fathers and grandfathers we salute you too. Thanks for all you do! Happy Father’s Day! And thanks for trusting Pop all these years ! You’ve been in good hands. “
