Upon closer inspection of the walls at Addington's, one will notice a wide variety of esteemed individuals who have significantly contributed to the world of archery. Notably, Tom Jennings attended one of our bow hunting jamborees in 1981. The shop proudly displays photographs and signatures of Fred Bear, including rare prints sourced directly from the original Bear Archery negatives taken by Dick Lattimer. Other notable figures include Earl and Ann Hoyt, Jim Easton, Matt McPherson, and Ted Nugent, among many others. We hold our sport and its influential figures in high regard, and Frank and Cathy had the privilege of calling many of these legends friends. The framed quote, a cherished keepsake and a testament to Fred's enduring legacy, is a reproduction of a heartfelt page he penned for Frank Jr., with the original safely preserved. We greatly esteemed Fred's kindness, humor, and contributions. There’s a bow Earl Campbell the NFL player signed, Coach Mack Brown and also Ted Nugent. The George Strait bow isn’t on display right now but a photo he sent Frank Sr is - thanking Frank for setting up one of his first Hoyt bows.
Take a moment to study the walls during your next visit. They tell a great story of so many legends and friends !
