We hope you are enjoying our series of posts this week helping you get to know a little more about your Winfield Boys Basketball Coaches. Coach Jed Worline is our next coach. Coach Jed, as the guys refer to him is a do it all coach for our guys. He is an incredible man that any parent would be grateful to know is helping mentor and be present for your son. His enthusiasm and passion for youth and basketball go together extremely well.
With more than 25 years of coaching experience spanning Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia, Coach Jed Worline has dedicated his life to developing young people both in athletics and in character. His passion for mentorship, leadership, and competition has made a lasting impact on countless student-athletes throughout his coaching career.
As a player, Worline earned recognition as a member of the 1999 and 2000 Lifeline National All-Tournament Teams while competing at Continental High School, establishing a foundation of hard work and competitive excellence that continues to shape his coaching philosophy today.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Worline has experienced success across multiple sports and levels. As Head Coach of Winfield Middle School Cross Country, he guided his teams to MVAC Championships while helping develop five nationally ranked runners. On the basketball court, he led the Winfield Middle School JV Basketball team to a perfect 15-0 season as head coach. As an assistant coach with the Winfield High School Boys Basketball program, he has helped mentor athletes who have earned three All-State selections, a Conference Player of the Year, a Kanawha Valley Defensive Player of the Year, and 17 All-Conference honors, while also contributing to a WVSSAC State Tournament Final Four appearance.
Beyond athletics, Coach Worline has devoted 25 years to ministry and service. He currently serves as Pastor of Faith & Family Church and as a Chaplain for CAMC Hospitals, providing spiritual guidance and support throughout the community. His commitment to faith, family, and servant leadership is evident in every aspect of his life.
Coach Worline and his wife, Marsha, are proud parents of three childrenβParker, Pierce, and Gracie. Whether coaching on the court, mentoring in the classroom, or serving through ministry, he remains committed to building champions both on and off the court.
