Hey all!
I wanted to take a moment to address something. I'm sure some of you have already heard about this but I just want to be fully transparent in everything that we've had going on. I'm usually a very private, behind the scenes kind of guy, but I feel like this is important to share.
Back on June 2nd, I took a spill on a dirtbike, and despite having full protective gear on, including knee braces, I was left with a blown up ACL, and some major tears in my MCL, LCL and meniscus. I've been on crutches since then, unable to fully extend my right leg.
Three weeks ago, I had my first of two surgeries scheduled. They reconstructed my LCL and MCL and got my leg straightened out. Surgery went great, I was in a lot of pain but happy to be moving toward recovery.
About a week ago, I passed out after getting up to use the bathroom, I couldn't catch my breath afterwards, turned real white, and started sweating profusely. This experience was incredibly scary. My wife took me to the hospital where they discovered I'd had a pulmonary embolism from some blood clots that had come up from my leg, and I was placed in ICU for most of last week.
Alot of you have probably seen the posts from Babes Ride Alaska. Krissy had messaged me while I was in the hospital and I mentioned to her that I was worried about the shop being okay while I'm unable to be there, and they went so far above and beyond what I expected, and the outpour of support from the community really hit me hard. I cannot thank them, and you, enough for that.
I also want to say I'm sorry to any of you who have experienced delays on orders and for the lack of inventory we currently have. We have a TON of KLIM and 509 stuff rolling in at the end of this week, or maybe early next week, so the showroom should be stuffed again shortly. Please keep shopping with us and keep my guys busy while we navigate this.
I know this was a long read, but I just want to sincerely thank you all for being Fish Creek Sales customers and supporting us all of these years. I've been with Fish Creek for over 15 years now, almost half of my life. It means alot to me that so many of you have shown so much support during this incredibly difficult time. I'm so proud to be even a small part of this community.
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
