We can't wait for our Jr. Summer Intensive next week and we are excited to welcome Abby Ruebush as a guest instructor! Read more about her below!

Abby Ruebush has spent the past 15 years training in tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, ballet, and pom in the Bloomington-Normal, Illinois area. Her 11-year competitive dance career has spanned the studio competition circuit, IHSA’s and IDTA’s 3A state series, and National Dance Alliance (NDA) Nationals at the high school and college level.

A current member of Illinois State University’s Competitive Dance Team, Abby began dancing at the Division I collegiate level in 2024 and earned the “Rookie of the Year” title during her freshman season. As a captain for the 2025-2026 season, Abby helped lead the team to two second-place finishes at NDA Nationals in Division I Jazz and Division I Team Performance—ISU’s highest national placements in history.

Abby has choreographed for the competition team at Dance Factory in Bloomington for the past half decade and has earned choreography awards in lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She is best known for providing high-quality tap training and for her modernized tap choreography.

NEW Master Classes with Kinsey Ganson!!!

▪️Saturday, June 13th 10am- 11:30am: Int./Adv. Ballet Technique

▪️Saturday, June 13th 11:30am-12:30pm: Mat Pilates

We are so excited to welcome Kinsey as a guest instructor at AIDC and hope you will join us. Ballet Technique is open to students in levels 3-5 or intermediate level adults. Mat Pilates will be open to students ages 8+ with a drive to improve their strength and build body awareness.

Kinsey Ganson trained at Cornerstone Academy for the Performing Arts (CAPA) and the affiliated professional company, Central Illinois Ballet, under the Artistic Directorship of Rebekah von Rathonyi. Ganson danced feature-roles like Clara in The Nutcracker, the title role in Giselle, and in original works such as Anne Frank and The Great Gatsby. After graduating high school summa cm laude, Ganson was accepted into the School of Classical & Contemporary Dance at Texas Christian University.  She is a rising senior ballet major and training under renowned professors and performing in original works by residency choreographers like Lauren Anderson, Suzanna Haag, and Gabrielle Lamb.  She is pursuing her Pilates Teacher Training Certificate, minoring in Arts Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and is president of XTE, the dance honor society.

It's been two years since AIDC was started! What a wild and amazing two years of growth and smiles and so much love for dance. We are so thankful to everyone who has been a part of the studio over the last two years and we're looking forward to another amazing year!!! 🥳
