Competition season is NOT a reason to stop training.

Sports require two physical qualities:

✅ Strength
✅ Speed

Neither of those qualities are built simply by attending practice.

Practice develops sport skill. Strength training develops the engine that powers those skills.

The athletes who continue training during the season are often the ones who stay healthier, perform better, and continue improving while others plateau.

Keep them in the gym.

Jaxson just hit a new PR in his Flying 10-yard sprint. 🔥

Four weeks ago, we started with the basics:
✅ Building foundational strength
✅ Learning sprint mechanics
✅ Developing coordination through skipping, jumping, and bounding

Nothing flashy. Just consistent work 3x each week.

The best part? Jaxson is also playing travel baseball.

Too often, families believe athletes are “too busy” to train during the season. But when strength and speed training become part of the routine early, athletes learn how to make performance a priority instead of an afterthought.

That’s the goal at Altamont Performance Lab:
Build strong, fast, resilient athletes while creating habits that last for life.

Jaxson’s improvement isn’t luck. It’s the result of showing up consistently, learning the process, and stacking small wins week after week.

Proud of the work he’s putting in and excited to keep building. 💪⚡️

3 months. Real structure. Real coaching. Real results.

Ryan Gordon (11) didn’t get faster, more explosive, and more confident from random drills or overcrowded group workouts. He improved because he followed a system built around proper coaching, progression, and accountability.

📈 Results after consistent training:
• Vertical Jump: 21.8”
• Broad Jump: 7’
• Flying 10yd Sprint: 1.298s

Anyone can make kids tired.
Anyone can run lines, ladders, and gimmick drills.

But true Strength & Conditioning is about building athletic qualities that actually transfer to sport performance.

At Altamont Performance Lab, we don’t babysit workouts — we coach athletes. Every session has intent, structure, and progression designed to help athletes move better, get stronger, become more explosive, and build confidence that shows up on the field.

Gimmicks sell.
Systems produce results. 💯

If your athlete’s training isn’t measured, tracked, and built with purpose —
they’re already falling behind.

At ALTAMONT Performance Lab, every session has intent.

From dynamic warm-ups and explosive movements like box jumps, to sprint mechanics, strength training, and performance testing — our athletes train for real results, not random workouts.

We test and track outputs like the Broad Jump, a key metric used at the MLB Combine with an average jump of 8’11”. Why? Because power directly translates to speed, explosiveness, and exit velocity.

Speed training isn’t conditioning.
It’s a skill.

That’s why we sprint year-round and only when athletes are fresh — because developing speed requires precision, not fatigue.

And strength?
Strength is the foundation for speed and power.

Year-round strength and conditioning is no longer optional for athletes who want to compete at a high level. It’s the standard.

PERSONAL BEST FOR ⚾️ ATHLETE⭐️

You can find Chance at the gym 3x every week and it is all paying off for him BIGTIME!

We tested Flying 10yd Sprints on our VALD Smart Speed Timing Gates using a 20yd Build-Up, and Chance stacked a huge PR pf 1.54 seconds!!!

Prior time was 1.66 seconds which is a -0.12 improvement on his time. This type of speed is seen coming out of the batters box and down the first base line, it shows up when he needs to change direction and get to a ball quickly. Not only is speed improving, but so is strength and power.

You don't need another crowded group workout disguised as strength and conditioning. Come check out Tracy’s Athlete Development Lab and learn how our training programs ans systems produce real time results that always show up at games and practice.

Most athletes don’t have a talent problem.
They have a **habits problem.**

At Altamont Performance Lab, we see it every day—

➡️ Skipping breakfast
➡️ Inconsistent creatine
➡️ Poor hydration
➡️ Fast food “fuel”
➡️ Processed snacks
➡️ Skipping dinner
➡️ Poor sleep

Then wondering why performance stalls.

**Elite performance isn’t complicated… but it is disciplined.**

Here’s the standard:

✔️ Breakfast: eggs, oatmeal, fruit, quality protein
✔️ Creatine: 5g daily (no excuses)
✔️ Hydration: water + electrolytes
✔️ Lunch & Dinner: protein + carbs + fats = FUEL
✔️ Snacks: fuel your body, don’t just fill it

You don’t rise to your goals.
You fall to your habits.

**Fuel like an athlete. Perform like one.**

🚨 PARENTS… READ THIS 🚨

Youth sports are at an ALL-TIME high.
So are injuries.

Tommy John surgeries.
ACL tears.
Overuse injuries at **13–17 years old.**

This isn’t bad luck.
This is what happens when athletes:
❌ Play more
❌ Rest less
❌ And NEVER build the strength to support it

👉 Too much sport.
👉 Too young.
👉 Too fast.

Now look at the difference…

💥 Dom Franks (13)
⚾️ IN-SEASON Baseball S&C

While most athletes slow down or break down in-season…
Dom got FASTER.

📈 Flying 10yd Sprint:
1.71 → 1.55
⚡️ **9.4% FASTER**
🔥 **IN-SEASON WIN**

That doesn’t happen by accident.

That’s what happens when you:
✔️ Train year-round
✔️ Build strength the RIGHT way
✔️ Develop durability BEFORE it’s too late

Parents—this is the truth:
If your athlete is only practicing and playing…
they are **underprepared for the demands of their sport.**

Strength & Conditioning isn’t extra.
👉 It’s PROTECTION
👉 It’s PERFORMANCE
👉 It’s LONGEVITY

The athletes who stay healthy and dominate…
are the ones who train when everyone else stops.
