Heat plays havoc on day one at The Big Go. 🥵🏁

With air temps at 95 degrees and track temps ridiculously high, the Top Alcohol Funny Car teams had trouble putting the power down to the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park track.

Sean Bellemeur and the Killer B’s made two runs, but with traction at a minimum, they were not able to complete a full pass in either qualifying session.

The team will return tomorrow at 10 AM for round three of qualifying.

Up for The Big Go challenge! Race day is HERE! 🏁🔥

“The two biggest hurdles at Indy are dealing with the weather and handling the pressure,” driver Sean Bellemeur said. “The Killer Bees have been here before, and I feel like we respond well to high-pressure situations. We were a little snakebit last year, and we’re looking for revenge. As for the weather—that’s where we let Steve [Boggs] do his thing, and I’ll enjoy the ride. It’s Indy, baby!”

Tony Bartone’s team is scheduled to roll through the water box at 1 PM and 3 PM today at the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Sean Bellemeur, a four-time Top Alcohol Funny Car Indy winner, is locked and loaded for the “Super Bowl” of drag racing.

“Indy is special,” Bellemeur said. “Every race team is there for one reason: to win The Big Go. Our team has been here before—both when we were dominating and when our backs were against the wall. I believe experience is really important at the biggest, highest-pressure race in the world. I feel like we have a great car, the team is ready, and we have a solid plan heading into the weekend.”

The team hits the track tomorrow, Friday, with runs scheduled at 1 PM and 3 PM. Time to get this weekend started! 🔥🏁

No weekends off. Just good prep for The Big Go! 💪🏁

Sean Bellemeur spent last weekend keeping his driving edge sharp—and it paid off in a big way. Driving his father Gregg’s A/F Altered, “Easy Rider,” Sean pulled off double wins at Woodburn.

“We had a blast with the family car last weekend—two races, two Wallys,” Sean said. “We were racing in memory of our dear friend Donnie Ho, and he helped push us to victory all weekend. The family Altered and the TAFC ‘Pirate Ship’ are set up similarly, so it was a nice refresher the weekend before the Big Go. Great times with friends and family, too.”

Now it’s on to Indy. The team is ready, the car is strong, and the focus is locked in. Let’s go racing! 🔥🏆
