Howelsen Hill Howelsen Hill is a ski area and Nordic center in winter and a city park with mountain biking, hiking and an Alpine Slide in summer.

Howelsen Hill winter operations run through April 3. Ski Free Sunday provides free skiing/riding every Sunday of the winter season.

Congratulations! Thirty-seven Steamboat athletes competed across eight boys’ and girls’ categories, combining for 7,573 team points. Steamboat finished ahead of Boulder with 7,442 points and Summit with 6,987 to take the first Division 1 victory of the four-race regular season. Fourteen Steamboat riders finished in the top 10 of their respective categories, including three top-three finishes.

Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for being a role model to so many throughout your career!

Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, she was introduced to ski jumping at an early age on the slopes of Howelsen Hill. Alongside her brother, Erik, she rose through the ranks of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club before taking her talents to the international stage.

What an incredible journey from Howelsen Hill to the world stage. We’re proud to celebrate all she has accomplished and wish her the very best in retirement!
