When my clients and others ask me about an upcoming housing bubble, the honest answer is "No one knows for sure." That said, I've had buyers I've spoken to for five years waiting for home prices to fall. Sadly all they've done is miss out on hundreds of thousands of dollars in equity by doing so. If you want my "opinion", home prices are going nowhere but up, up, and up. It's unfortunate for those looking to get into an affordable first-time home, but that's where we're at. This shocking graph is probably the most telling for why we're here (and likely will stay here for the foreseeable future). After the 2008 housing crisis, many home builders either went out of business or drastically cut production. What henceforth happened is what you see below. The law of supply and demand is what we're now dealing with. Even a doubling of home builders isn't going to change that any time soon. My advice....try to get yours while you still can.
