The Elite Diamond Dawgs Positional Camp is designed to provide players with focused, position-specific instruction from Elite Baseball Academy coaches. Athletes will work on defensive mechanics, footwork, throwing accuracy, game awareness, and the skills needed to excel at their position.

Day 4 was a hot one! The campers battled through the heat and competed in several challenges throughout the day, including our glove-side competition and base running relays.

We also wrapped up testing Exit Velocity (speed off the bat) and 40/60 times for all campers. One of the best parts of tracking these numbers is seeing how much our returning players improve from year to year. It’s always fun to look back and see the progress they’ve made through hard work and training.

On Day 3, we had positional breakdowns. Players refined their skills at their primary and secondary positions. We capped it off with our annual King of the Hill competition which is pretty much last man standing for fielding. These winners get to take home a new glove.

SUMMER CAMP IS IN FULL SWING! Today we covered all things base running - getting good leads, reading pitchers, stealing. These are the little things that help these athletes go on to compete well and win games. And we've definitely got some fast kids in this group.

Every year at camp we give out Hustler Awards to players who compete hard and bring great energy each day. Today the coaches awarded this to Oliver Munsey, Greyson Smith, Kyian Rhodes, Brody Saddler, Logan Abbott, and Easton Cromer. Keep it up guys, we have the rest of the week to earn some prizes.
