Drip athletes were hard at work today 💪 Chris spent Of couple hrs doing back to back swim bike run sessions! Preparing for his full Ironman in 3 weeks. Ashley placed 3rd in her age group at Maple Grove today. With a PR finish time of 1:26:31 Way to work Ashley!Next we had our newest athlete to the team Nate. He completed his first Olympic distance triathlon in Super Tri Chicago. With a finish time of 2:54:17 Let's go Nate! Congrats to all these hard working athletes 🏆🏆🏆

As promised our race report for the USA Triathlon national championships! We had two amazing athletes for the first time ever qualify for nats.

We will start with talking about Ashley she went out and kicked ass! She posted her fastest ever bike splits and run splits!! With an impressive finish time of 1:33:38 and a impressive age group finish of 46/76 our goal was top 50! Now we will work on preparing her for ironman Madison! To complete her first ever half distance! Way to work Ashley Patterson we are incredibly proud of you and very lucky to have such an amazing athlete on the team! Keep up all the hard work we can't wait to see how you finish the season.

Next we need to talk about Ann. To do that we need to really start from the beginning which was not that long ago in fact it was Trinona last June. That was her very first triathlon ever and our first time meeting her. Her finish at that race was 16/109 overall for the woman's field. Fast forward she contacted us and asked about coaching. We went to work with her and over the past 12 months we returned to Winona to finish 2/130. That finish got her a qualifying spot for nationals. This weekend she finished 8/50 in her age group and overall 67/753! With a very impressive finish time of 1:16:23 landing Ann a spot on team USA for the World championships in Germany next year! She is our first athlete ever to do all that in one season! The best part is she is just getting started this was her 3rd ever sprint and 4th triathlon ever....we are so excited for her to take some much needed rest and time off and can't wait to start back up next year and see what she can accomplish! Way to work Ann congrats on an amazing season not a bad way to kick off your first real year!

We promised updates from yesterday's race! Having a successful race comes down to having a solid plan in place. Yesterday that is exactly what our athletes demonstrated. With the heat index we had temps between 95-103 to race in. Wow did they crush it! Ashley finished 5th in her age group in the Olympic distance and managed to shave off 23 min total time from last year's race on the same course! Ann finished 2nd in her age group and cracked the top ten women's field overall. In her first ever attempt at the Olympic distance. As well as her third triathlon ever. Chris took on the huge challenge of completing a half ironman... He was out in that heat for 5hrs and 50 min. Chris stuck to his plan to stay cool and hydrated. He managed to crush it for the day and finish 5th as well in his age group. With all the challenges athletes faced on a race day like that. All we ever hope for is for our athletes to finish safe. Yesterday we were blown away by how hard everyone worked and stuck to their race plan. Everyone finished and not only finished but had fantastic races! Amazing race Chisago Lakes Triathlon today! Team drip kicked ass. We have a lot of photos and stuff to talk about so stay tuned!
