The Breakfast Club,

25 weeks of hitting from 8:30-10:30 am on Saturdays. Every single one of these players has seen their exit velo increase in only 1 month of focused bat speed training. Multiple players have increased 5-7 mph. I believe a philosophy every hitter needs is to get their best swing off on fastballs. That will continue to be our focus until mid January, then it’s time to get game ready with approach and building a plan.

Even though it was early, the excitement and energy to hit this morning was awesome.

I’ve known and have been working with Nick Kaminski since he was 7 years old. Baseball is the best game there is but nothing beats watching kids grow into young men. Nick was outstanding at the plate, behind the plate, and on the mound this weekend helping the North Macomb Reds win the 14U AA State Championship in Canton! Keep working hard Nick!

Huge congratulations to Eisenhower HS Senior and Albion College Commit Danny Bruzdewicz as he threw a no hitter against Lakeview HS on Saturday! This was Danny’s first Varsity start in his High School career. Super proud of his hard work and unshakable attitude.

I’ve been working with Danny Bruzdewicz since 2013. He’s a great story of overcoming adversity and working towards his goal of becoming a college pitcher. He is a recent commit of Albion College. Through the tough times, I never heard Danny complain or make a single excuse. Now he has four years of college baseball ahead of him!

I want to wish Reis Stine good luck on starting his college baseball career. We’ve worked together consistently since 2013. He’s a put his head down and work hard type of player. Cleary University has a student/athlete they can be proud of.

Home Run from Vanderbilt SS Carter Young. Really good separation in his load and stride. Notice how balanced his swing is, and how his barrel gets in the hitting zone really early. Kids can get these fundamentals too. It just takes time and patience.

First Home Run of the year for Cabrera and he still makes the hardest thing in sports look easy. Notice how he calls time, makes sure he’s mentally locked in. When you are in the box, you are in control. My take away from this swing is the early movement with the pitcher, power initiated from the ground up, and not trying to do too much with the pitch. Hit the ball to all fields and you are really hard to pitch to.

Now that April is here I have a lot of availability. 248-895-1919. Great time to tune up before you get outside.
