Lots of great defensive plays last night as the Fish defeat the Crystal Cowboys 10-2. Kyle Fritz goes 7 innings 6 strikeouts with only 2 earned runs allowed. Matty Bacon with another 2 inning relief appearance with no runs allowed. Ben Johnson had such an amazing catch at the wall in the top of the 6th that commentator Kevin Westhuis had no idea the play had been made until after it was done! The Fish infield was busy last night as they rolled up 3 double plays and Trey Larson with a 2 RBI triple in the bottom of the 6th. Last home game of the week is tonight. 7pm start vs the North St. Paul Snowmen. Should be fun one!

With a 20-7 win over the Stillwater Loggers the Fish are now 15-2. After getting down 5 in the top of the 1st, the Fish respond with a 4-run inning in the bottom including Austin Curti’s bases clearing double. The very next inning Chase McQuade, who was 4-5 with 5 RBIs on the day, crushes a 1st pitch curveball to the parking lot for a 3-run homer to take the lead. A bases loaded, inning ending double play in the top of the 4th prevents the Loggers from tacking on any more runs. Pitcher Matty Bacon comes into the game with a bases loaded jam, gets out of it no runs scored, then goes another 2 innings of no hits or runs allowed. Next game is tonight 7:30pm vs the Crystal Cowboys! See you at the ballpark!

Fish defeat the Shoreview StumpGrinders on Wednesday night in front of a nice crowd! Jake Lindsay goes 4 innings with 9 strikeouts, no walks, and no earned runs. Chad Patko was 2-3 including a 2 RBI triple in the 3rd. Thanks for coming down to the ballpark and supporting us! Next game is home tonight at 7:30pm vs the Stockmen’s Irish. Should be a great game!
